The Left is duplicitous, which isn't news to anyone who's paid attention over the last few years. If they didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any at all.
They best demonstrate those double standards by forcing their preferred cultural zeitgeist on us, claiming that it is vitally important and in the name of 'inclusion' or 'representation' or some other DEI jargon. When the rest of us push back against whatever changes they make, they claim it's 'just a movie' or 'just a video game' and ask, 'Why do you care so much?! It's not important!'
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
So when I saw this protest sign come across my feed, it reminded me exactly of this little game the Left plays:

I'm not sure I'd call the sign stupid. I'd rather call it revealing.
Since time immemorial, mankind has understood there are two genders and that men have pensies and women have vaginas. It wasn't until the last decade or so that coddled, over-educated Leftists decided the gender binary was just a social construct and gender was 'fluid.' It's the sort of thinking that comes with extreme privilege; your local plumber doesn't have the time to ponder such nonsense, and he has the brains to know better.
The Left didn't stop there. They embraced the notion that men can become women (or vice-versa) simply by saying so, and those words undo the biological reality of gender. Then they turned around and decided to use laws, corporate policy, and social pressure to get the rest of us to believe that 'some women have pensises.'
This is why places like Planet Fitness revoked the membership of a woman who called out an obvious man using the women's locker room. It's why William (Lia) Thomas was able to steal titles and awards from female swimmers, why Imane Khelif received applause for pummeling women in Olympic boxing, why a judge said Brayden (Blaire) Fleming could compete against women in volleyball. Payton McNabb was permanently injured by a 'trans girl' who spiked a volleyball in her face, and later expelled from her sorority for objecting to a man in the women's bathroom. TV host John Oliver insists, however, that men have no biological advantage over women in sports.
As of October 2024, almost 1,000 women lost medals to men in sporting events, simply because those men played the Shania Twain card. So John Oliver is not only wrong, he's stupid.
But it's even more insidious than that. Media happily come up with new euphemisms for women (often reducing us to our anatomy or biological functions), trans activists threaten us with violence if we don't let they/them in our bathrooms, 'trans' police in the U.K. are allowed to strip search women. Female NHS staffers are forced to change in front of biological men. Female prisoners are punished for speaking out against the violent, sexually predatory men placed in lockup with them, and so are our daughters for daring to speak up about school locker rooms in places like Illinois, Wisconsin, and even Texas.
The U.K. Supreme Court ruled in April that the word 'woman' has a specific biological meaning, dealing a much-needed blow to the despotism of the trans activist Left. In June, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld state bans on 'gender-affirming care' for minors.
The Trump administration has made restoring women's rights and women's sports a priority, much to the dismay of the Left.
And that's what that sign is about: the Left's dismay.
The Left tried to change the entire gender paradigm through legislation, corporate policy, and good old-fashioned bullying. They thought they would get away with it, too. They thought they could do what they've done time and again: change the definition of gender, and scream at their opposition that it just wasn't important, and why did we care so much, anyway?
Then the Supreme Courts in the U.K. and the U.S. came in and reaffirmed that gender is biological, and trans women are men.
