For years, the left loved to pull out their favorite saw when it came to the crime of men playing in women's sports: 'It isn't happening and it's great that it is.'
Despite athletes like Riley Gaines and many others frequently posting accounts of women who were being robbed of their dreams by men pretending to be women, the left continued to claim that 'trans women' in sports was a minor issue and that we should just ignore it and move on or else we are bigots. When it even happened in the Olympics, one of sport's greatest international showcases, we were told that this was 'inclusive' and we needed to shut up about it.
Well, a new report from the United Nations puts the lie to all of the left's gender ideology lies about men beating (and often beating ON) women on the playing field.
It's not just happening, it is happening on a MUCH larger scale than any of the deranged trans activists would like anyone to believe or see.
The HUGE number of medals female athletes have lost to trans opponents allowed to compete against them is revealed in UN report highlighting women's 'loss of fair opportunity' https://t.co/NJA4PkC1kZ pic.twitter.com/FPR9j0pRSj

The number is staggering.

The study - titled 'Violence against women and girls in sports' - stated that 'policies implemented by international federations and national governing bodies' had allowed athletes born male to compete in women's sporting categories.
It goes on to argue that athletes born male had gender specific attributes, such as higher strength, which were advantageous in certain sports and resulted in the 'loss of fair opportunity' for biologically female competitors.
Reem Alsalem, the UN special rapporteur on violence against women and girls, presented the findings of her report to the UN General Assembly earlier this month.
And this included the incredibly high number of biologically female athletes who had lost medals to transgender athletes.
It revealed that over 600 female athletes had lost over 890 medals across 29 sports.
More than 600 women robbed. Nearly 900 medals stolen.
And this is just in the national and international sports that the report took into consideration. This does not include, for instance, all of the young women in high schools and colleges who have had their dreams crushed by cheating men.
There is no way to sugarcoat this. This is the greatest scandal and injustice in the history of modern sports.
And -- in my not-so-humble opinion -- it's not even close.
Over 890 medals, across 29 sports, stolen from women by men. https://t.co/hzLqlHs36G

Over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions across 29 DIFFERENT sports have been defeated by men.
Will the Left still say this isn’t happening? pic.twitter.com/fdtBYg85wh
They will certainly try. But we're not going to let them get away with the lie anymore.
The thing that never happened, happened almost 900 times https://t.co/rl41rkfjKx

The study does not delve deeply into the other problem with men in women's sports but in addition to women and girls losing out on their athletic dreams, there is also the fact that they are often forced to share private spaces such as locker rooms and bathrooms with these men.
It's not just an athletic scandal, it is a human rights violation.
History will look back upon this entire unmitigated catastrophe and regard it as a stain on humanity. https://t.co/y9r0M1MtwG

Because it IS a stain on humanity.
I'm surprised the UN even tracks this. I would think they would be fully supportive of men in women's sports.

Honestly, this surprised me as well. The UN is as woke an organization as they come. They regularly celebrate trans 'days of visibility' and the organization UN Women never speaks out against men cheating in women's sports.
But Reem Alsalem, the Jordanian woman who was the Special Rapporteur behind the report, is not a gender ideologist. In addition to exposing the frequency of men taking medals away from women, she also charts other problems in women's sports, including the frequency of sexual abuse.
Call me crazy, but I don't think letting men into women's locker rooms is going to reduce the level of sexual abuse.
Thanks to the @UNSRVAW for bringing this to the world’s attention, and standing tirelessly for the rights of women and girls! #SaveWomensSports from males! https://t.co/fXJmvPdztP

Alsalem does deserve our gratitude. And yes, in case you were wondering, she ALSO has been called a 'transphobe' and a 'bigot' for exposing this, just like Gaines, Rowling, and so many others who just want women to be able to compete on a fair playing field.
Despite the efforts of trans activists to hide and obfuscate the issue, the truth is coming out all over the world. It was always going to, sooner or later.
Now, it is incumbent on every high school, collegiate, national, and international athletic governing body to put an end to it. Some organizations like the NAIA and World Aquatics already have. But too many others have not. We know the NCAA won't do it willingly which is why Gaines and many other current and former college athletes are suing them.
Any other governing body that doesn't put an immediate stop to this travesty should also be sued. If they won't stop on their own, we need to force them to stop.
They told everyone it wasn't happening. Then, they told everyone that it was barely happening (as if ONE man stealing a medal from a woman would be acceptable).
They lied. And now they need to be held accountable for that lie.
