Every day, the Democratic Party exposes just how dangerous, depraved, and detached from reality it truly is.
Whether it's displaying the trans flag outside the Minneapolis school where a 'trans-identifying' man, Robert (Robin) Westman, recently killed two children while pushing for nationwide gun control laws, or racist attacks against Winsome Earle-Sears, a Black woman running for Virginia governor, there are no depths to which the Democrats won't sink.
It's all in pursuit of power. They've made that much clear. Jasmine Crockett, James Carville, and Beto O'Rourke have all said the Democrats will destroy democracy if they ever regain control of the federal government to permanently cement themselves as our ruling class.
So when Virginia Senator Tim Kaine said our rights come from the government, and not God, it did not surprise me.
“The notion that rights don’t come from laws and don’t come from the government, but come from the Creator — that’s what the Iranian government believes. It’s a theocratic regime that bases its rule on Sharia law and targets Sunnis, Bahá’ís, Jews, Christians and other religious… pic.twitter.com/XcrPHbVplp

Every single thing a Democrat claims is a right -- housing, food, healthcare -- is not, in fact, a right. You do not have a right to anything that requires the labor of another person. What they mean when they say something is a 'right' is that 'this is something the government should control,' and nothing good ever comes from that.
As I told you earlier today, New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani wants to 'move away from a situation where most people access housing by purchasing it on the market' in favor of the state '[guaranteeing] high-quality housing to all.' Cea Weaver, Mamdani's housing advisor, has even more radical views. She believes private property is a weapon of White supremacy, that homeownership is racist, and that the government must impoverish the middle class.
This is what the Left means when they say housing is a 'right.'
They said the same thing about education, including passing significant federal legislation guaranteeing disabled students a 'right' to an education. That lasted until there was a pandemic, and suddenly, the 'right' to an education was up to the whims of the activists at the CDC and union bosses like Randi Weingarten. Special needs kids, like my youngest son, who needed speech therapy, suddenly lost their rights in the service of 'flattening the curve.' My son was lucky; he was nearing the end of his speech therapy, and his speech had vastly improved by the fall of 2019. Other children were not so lucky. And if you ask any teacher, they can see a difference in the social and academic performance of all students pre- and post-COVID.
When it comes to food, the Left champions government-run grocery stores in the name of 'equity' and 'affordability.' In Kansas, a government-run grocery store was plagued by empty shelves, rotting food, and theft. That store closed recently, unable to stay open despite the backing of taxpayer dollars. They have made it very clear that they want us to stop eating meat to save the environment, so what's to stop them from just ... banning the sale and purchase of meat down the road?
And healthcare? Yeah, it's a 'right' -- right up until you decide you don't want to take the COVID vaccine. Then the Left says you should be denied access to healthcare. They created racist policies to 'equitably' distribute antibody treatment and even the COVID vaccine. My colleagues here and I have told you about nurses (and doctors) who gleefully wish death and harm on President Trump and his supporters, including children lost in Texas flooding back in July.
It's no exaggeration to believe Democrats would also deny their political opponents access to housing and food, after threatening to do so with healthcare. They barely hide their contempt for us as it is, and that's with millions of us owning firearms (what would they do if they banned them?).
The things that are actual rights, on the other hand? Democrats despise them and seek to undermine them at every opportunity. As I mentioned above, several prominent Democrats have called for nationwide gun control after the Minneapolis shooting. Our Second Amendment rights shall not be infringed, of course, but that doesn't stop the Left from trying. Democrats also love to censor and punish people for free speech. The Biden-Harris administration jailed several pro-life activists for the 'crime' of protesting outside of abortion clinics. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz both believe 'hate speech' and 'disinformation' aren't protected by the First Amendment, and Walz pushed for a 'hate speech registry' in Minnesota that would punish people for the ungoodthink 'crime' of supporting author J.K. Rowling.
Unlike food, housing, and healthcare, free speech and self-defense are actual rights.
By saying our rights come from God -- a being outside of time and space -- and that those rights are unalienable, it means guys like Tim Kaine and his Democratic Party ilk cannot take them away from us.
Democrats hate that because they hate competition.
They believe the government is God, and the state is his church. They see 'rights' as a cudgel through which they can wield immeasurable control over every aspect of our lives, including what we eat, where we live, and what we say and think. And if ever given the opportunity, they would make this our nightmarish reality.
All I can say is, thank God our rights come from Him and not Tim Kaine.
