Fresh off replacing their last Senate hopeful after a rape allegation derailed his campaign, they’ve landed on Troy Jackson — only for a 1988 police report to surface showing the former state Senate president kicking in a door, punching a man in the face, and allegedly pushing around his longtime partner (who also happens to be his cousin and the mother of his two kids) so badly she told cops she planned to seek a harassment order.

No, really.

Wow - newly surfaced reports detail an incident in which Maine Democrat Senate Candidate Troy Jackson physically attacked his partner (also his cousin who he has 2 children with) and she was so scared she told police she planned to file “cease harassment papers.”

Pair that with the time he hurled a water bottle during a legislative meltdown involving a female colleague, and the pattern starts looking less like “youthful mistakes” and more like a party that just can’t quit the drama.

This follows reports that he once got so angry in a legislative meeting that he threw a water bottle and hit a female legislator.
