Congressional Republicans Introduce Bill to NUKE Largest Teachers' Union and There Is Great Rejoicing

NEA/ Twitter

When I first became involved in politics, it was due to the teachers' union in Wisconsin. True story. At the time, I didn't even live there; I just loved the state and, of course, their shiny new Republican governor, Scott Walker. Watching a bunch of grown, haggard, nasty women trying to hold educating our kids hostage for more money and power was one of the most infuriating things I'd ever witnessed. Of course, living in Wyoming, it wasn't much of an issue, so while I was angry about it, my family was not directly impacted.

I still didn't like them, and I cheered when Walker won over and over again.

Fast forward to our big move to Virginia in 2020, when Ralph Northam shut the state down to protect us from the virus. It feels crazy to write that even now, our governor was so authoritarian and evil that he literally tried locking us in our homes. Five years removed from it, and I'm still pissed.

However, that was the first time the teachers' unions had a direct impact on me. My kids were yanked from school and wouldn't see a normal school year without masks or other extreme measures via the Virginia Education Association until 2022.

So the fact that Congressional Republicans are finally taking action against this evil organization ... best thing EVER.

I can't stop smiling.

Please, please, please. This has to happen.

Especially when this is the president of that union:

End this.

Now.
