It has come to my attention that I owe the many Lord of the Rings fans who follow me an apology for calling American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten a nasty little hobbit. I also owe Hobbits an apology.
Hey, man, you don't want to cross a Hobbit.
And clearly, I misspoke about Weingarten when I saw her bouncing up and down, screeching about Trump and dismantling the Department of Education. Now, in my defense, she is short, has a more solid build, and wears her hair like Samwise Gamgee. Who knows, she could walk around with no shoes on. I'm not sure I've ever seen her feet but I digress.
As many people have said in my mentions, Weingarten is not a Hobbit.
No no, she's an orc.
At first, this didn't work for me either because orcs are rather large and menacing, and she's neither.
You know what? Maybe you should watch this video and tell me which LOTR group you think she belongs to.
