Flashback: Omar Fateh Says the Real Danger Comes From White Supremacists, Not Illegal Aliens

Meme

There's another mayoral race to keep an eye on besides communist Zohran Mamdani in New York City. In Minneapolis, you have Somali immigrant Omar Fateh running for mayor. Mamdani seems like a lock, but Fateh has a chance as well.

I've read a lot of posts on X lately about people saying that foreign-born citizens shouldn't be allowed to hold office. Consider Rep. Delia Ramirez last weekend telling the audience while speaking in Spanish: "I'm a proud Guatemalan before I'm an American." She even doubled down, saying, "Honoring my Guatemalan ancestry only strengthens my commitment to America." Yeah, right. That's like Maine Rep. Deqa Dhalac telling an audience that her mission is to help "our country of Somalia" before catching herself.

But back to Fateh. Townhall columnist Dustin Grage posted this video as a flashback back in July, so I have no idea how old it is, but it came across my timeline Wednesday courtesy of Eyal Yakoby. Remember back during the Biden administration when Attorney General Merrick Garland proclaimed that white supremacists were the number one domestic terrorists in America? Fateh appears to read that off of his phone during his speech here, where he says his white Republican colleagues are what the real terrorists look like. "We are safer and we're better off" because of illegal aliens, he says.

Minneapolis is going to elect this guy, aren't they? Fateh is the Mamdani of Minneapolis, which he plans to "Trump-proof" if elected. Oh, did we mention he, too, is a socialist? Fateh supported the failed campaign to defund and dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department. He showed up to a federal drug and human trafficking raid in Minneapolis to resist law enforcement. His brother-in-law, Muse Mohamed, was convicted of lying to a grand jury about illegally handling absentee ballots linked to ballot harvesting.

We reported the other day how the Democratic Socialists wanted Mamdani to turn New York into a "gender-affirming care" hub, flying in trans people and putting them up in hotels and paying for their "care" with taxpayer dollars, even if they weren't from New York City.

Remember how leftists had a fit when around 60 Afrikaners who were fleeing "Kill the Boer" white genocide in South Africa arrived as refugees in the United States? They stood proudly with American flags. A Biden-Harris senior staffer told MSNBC they could "go back to Germany."

You have to be an American-born citizen to hold the office of president. I'm thinking more and more that we should expand that rule.
