There aren't too many things the Democratic Party is good at these days, but I'l give them credit where it's due: they're masters at the art of projection.
If you want to know what the Democrats really think and feel, look at what they accuse their opponents of doing and you'll have your answer.
Congresswoman Janelle Bynum of Oregon is the latest embodiment of projection.
Watch what she has to say about the end of the Department of Education:
There are so many examples to prove her wrong, I struggle with where to start.

I suppose we could begin with the state of American public education itself. Since the inception of the Department of Education, spending on education has gone up while test scores, literacy rates, and mathematical competency have declined. In Wisconsin, only 31% of public school students are reading on grade level. In Illinois, there are 30 schools where zero students are proficient in reading. The same thing is happening in Baltimore, where at least 13 high schools have zero students tested proficient in literacy (but don't worry, Maryland officials will make sure those students have access to condoms in elementary schools).
Instead of teaching our students to read, write, and add, the Department of Education was spending billions on DEI grants for things like a 'restorative justice' program in Philadelphia public schools (where only 30% of students are reading on grade level and 14% are proficient in math), and 'Trauma-Informed, Antiracist Social Emotional Learning' in St. Louis schools (where 14% of students are reading at grade level and only 11% are proficient in math). In Santa Monica schools, fifth-grade students were asked to explore their 'white privilege' and the district proved to be an outlier: the majority of students were proficient in reading and math (we're sure the Leftists will get around to changing that shortly).
The purpose of these DEI programs, including Critical Race Theory, is to teach American public school students what to think and how to think it.
It is the Left who pushed to do away with honors classes and gifted-talented programs. In Cambridge, the schools did away with advanced math classes to address 'inequity' between poor children of color and their more affluent peers. Instead of addressing those disparities, the Boston Globe reported:
Martin Udengaard wants more for his son, and he doesn’t think Cambridge schools can deliver.
Cambridge Public Schools no longer offers advanced math in middle school, something that could hinder his son Isaac from reaching more advanced classes, like calculus, in high school. So Udengaard is pulling his child, a rising sixth grader, out of the district, weighing whether to homeschool or send him to private school, where he can take algebra 1 in middle school.
Udengaard is one of dozens of parents who recently have publicly voiced frustration with a years-old decision made by Cambridge to remove advanced math classes in grades six to eight. The district’s aim was to reduce disparities between low-income children of color, who weren’t often represented in such courses, and their more affluent peers. But some families and educators argue the decision has had the opposite effect, limiting advanced math to students whose parents can afford to pay for private lessons, like the popular after-school program Russian Math, or find other options for their kids, like Udengaard is doing.
Meanwhile, in Dallas, schools decided to make honors classes opt-out rather than opt-in. The result? More than triple the number of students took Algebra 1 in eighth grade, including those who are 'traditionally marginalized.'
During COVID, when parents pushed back against Democrat-led school lockdowns and LGBTQ/CRT/woke curricula, those parents were labeled 'domestic terrorists.' The DOJ not only investigated the parents and surveilled school board meetings, they lied about it, too.
Who is it who wants our students to remain uneducated again? Who is it who punishes those who challenge the government?
The answer is simple: Leftists. That's who.
Anyone who says otherwise is projecting their real intentions on their political opponents.
