But ... this has us wondering if she's telling the truth. Because you know, normally she's a bastion of truth-telling and honesty.

The agency is invoking a FOIA exemption for ongoing enforcement proceedings after a request seeking records on claims that the congresswoman engaged in marriage fraud to help a relative stay in the country — allegations she has repeatedly denied and that have never been substantiated by DNA evidence or court records — leaving the status of the inquiry shrouded in official silence even as top Trump administration officials have previously confirmed it was under active review.

That's sort of what we thought as well — hey, at least they're investigating her, right?
On the other hand, the public is left waiting for any concrete updates; the invocation of “ongoing enforcement proceedings” only fuels speculation about just how seriously federal agencies are treating these decades-old claims against a sitting member of Congress.
