I thought I’d seen peak clown world from the Squad, but this one takes the tampon.
Three Democratic congresswomen—Yassamin Ansari, Adelita Grijalva, and Rashida Tlaib—actually stood up at a press conference and declared that getting your period is now a form of economic violence if your boss doesn’t pay you to stay home on the couch with a heating pad and a pint of Ben & Jerry’s.
These are the same ladies who lecture us nonstop about 'strong women' and 'breaking glass ceilings.' Yet here they are, turning a normal biological function that women have dealt with since the dawn of time into a federal case.

My grandmother raised six kids, worked a factory job, and powered through cramps without demanding taxpayer-funded couch days (ok, she actually had four kids and no factory job, but we never heard her complain like this about her period, not once).
But apparently, in 2026, showing up to work while female is oppression.
IT'S NOT FAIR AND STUFF.
They want employers forced to hand out paid menstrual leave so no woman ever has to suffer the indignity of, you know, adulting. Never mind that this would make every business owner think twice about hiring women in the first place. Never mind that actual strong women—nurses, teachers, military moms—have been managing this forever without turning it into a victimhood Olympics event.
This isn’t feminism. This is fragility dressed up as activism. These lawmakers aren’t empowering women; they’re infantilizing them. They’re telling every young girl that her body is a disability and the government owes her a check for it. Meanwhile, they’ll keep screaming about 'equality' right up until the moment biology becomes inconvenient.
