When we first moved to Virginia in 2016, I had no idea what I was in for when it came to state and local government here. Oh, I knew the governor was a Democrat, but you know, how bad could it be?
Not to mention, I was in the middle of moving my then-grade-school kids and our lives clear across the country, so honestly, the last thing on my mind way back then was Virginia politics. I know. I wish I'd known then what I know now, but I'm fairly certain we still would have made the move because I love this state.
I do.
I can't BELIEVE how much I love this state. I don't think my husband can believe how much I love this state, but that's another post.
Boy howdy, was I in for a rude awakening when I saw Ralph Northam, and what he was willing to do to his own people for more power and political gain. What is even crazier is that Northam isn't even the worst. McAuliffe, who was an absolute disaster, wasn't even the worst. Levar Stoney, the dipwad who destroyed Richmond in the name of equity, is up there, but again, not the worst.
No, Louise Lucas is the WORST.
There's no comparison.
There are dirty politicians, and then there is this horrible woman, who is the face behind the attempted gerrymander steal in Virginia. (It's my theory that she's the one who hid the gavel from Winsome Earle Sears on her first day in the Senate.)

Oh, did I fail to mention that Lucas owns several pot stores that were made legal by Democrat legislation? She's also behind a group home for people with developmental disabilities who seem to get hurt very often. Heck, she was also part of a protest where a 'racist statue' fell on someone and almost killed them.
Funny how removing those statues didn't end racism. Who knew?
Anywho.
All of this being said (and there is far more), Louise keeps winning... which makes me wonder about her district and the people who keep electing her.
Then again, maybe I'm overestimating Democrats and giving them too much credit for being normal, rational human beings.
