I started working at Long John Silver's when I was 15 years old. Don't worry, this won't be a post about how I walked to work in the snow uphill both ways barefoot BUT when I see something like this video of a grown man weeping because he had to work 8 hours MAKING AND SERVING COFFEE, I feel like the mean old lady on the corner shaking her fist at the kids in her lawn.
What is wrong with young people today? Look, I get it, my job is awesome because I get to sit at my desk, reading stupid things and writing about how stupid they are, but it wasn't always this way for me. Once upon a time, I was on my feet eight hours a day, serving fish, or later taking care of people with developmental disabilities, etc. In life most of us expect that we will have hard jobs here and there, especially when we're just starting out.
This guy not only had a meltdown about working a whole 25 hours a week AT STARBUCKS, he also recorded himself and posted it online feeling zero shame.
Maybe that's what's wrong with these people? They haven't been shamed enough ...
