When do you think David French will realize he has no power here? And by here, I mean on the Right and, quite honestly, in American politics in general. He burned a bridge with people on the Right, and the Left only tolerates him when he hates Trump. In a way, it's as if he and others like Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney should form a club where they can all hang out and pretend they still matter.
Because in the real world, they don't.
I'm sure David will write about how mean I am and how Twitchy is bullying him again, but I can't help it. I spent many years looking up to him because I felt he understood things I didn't. And hey, we all know 10 YEARS AGO (holy crap), I was no fan of Donald Trump myself. But unlike David, once Trump won I decided to sit back and see what he would do and like many people, I was impressed with his policies and voted for him in 2020.
And again in 2024.
Like many Americans, I am very happy with what I voted for in 2024 as well, even with this ridiculous Signal chat app debacle that Jeffrey Goldberg decided was a major story.
It's really not, but whatever floats his Trump-hating boat.
