A lot of what we do at Twitchy involves diving deep into the muck and the mire of the Washington, DC, swamp, exposing awful policies, horrible behavior of leftists, and trying to translate whatever it is that Mazie Hirono or Ketanji Brown Jackson thinks they are saying on any given day.
Don't get me wrong, I love doing that, but every once in a while, it's nice to be able to share something wonderful that happens in the neighborhood of that very same swamp.
Earlier this week, Katie Pavlich showed everyone one of those wonderful things. Just outside of DC -- not too far from where Jim Comey will soon have to face a jury -- is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (a name that still chafes the left, which is why I make sure to refer to it by its full name, or simply just 'Reagan' whenever I have the opportunity).
But this is deep blue Arlington, bordering on Alexandria. This is the neighborhood where an Abigail Spanberger volunteer held up a sign at a Winsome Sears speaking appearance stating that blacks were not welcome to use white water fountains. Some of the worst AWFLs you've ever met live in Arlington and Alexandria, and they will proudly scream in your face to declare their alliance with Antifa or BLM before they will ever salute a US flag or recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
And don't get me started on what happens in Northern Virginia schools.
But this week, Pavlich shared an image that the vibe shift is happening even in this bluest of blue regions in the country. A shop within Reagan Airport that proudly displayed merchandise honoring Charlie Kirk and his message.
Wow! Spotted at Reagan Airport across the river from D.C. pic.twitter.com/PD9qMaBOYl

Isn't that just beautiful?
I wasn't the only one who thought so.

Beautiful sight! Ronny would be proud! pic.twitter.com/XjZrhr5EEU

Indeed, we imagine The Gipper was looking down on that with a smile on his face, hopefully with Kirk right by his side.

Now, I don't want to overstate the significance here. Concessionaires are typically pretty apolitical people. Capitalism is their guiding star, not politics. If a t-shirt or hat is going to sell, they're going to sell it. And even though Reagan is located in a Democratic stronghold, travelers from across the country pass through there every day.
But I still think it's worth noting. They're stocking these shirts and hats because they know they will sell. And I guarantee that if I went across the river into DC itself, which votes 90 percent Democrat in every election, vendors are selling these same shirts and hats around the National Mall as well.
Because shop owners and other vendors can sense a vibe shift far better than anyone who works in the legacy media.
They know who people are coming to see, especially now that crime is down in the District! https://t.co/2pYafVGwiJ

I absolutely love it 😍 God bless Charlie Kirk https://t.co/k26uxhMmW6

Of course, this display caused many leftists on X to screech vile things, but screeching vile things is just what leftists do. The more they cry, the more we know the vibe has shifted.
Hitler Youth had uniforms, too https://t.co/x2L4DyVUpV

See what I mean? I rest my case. Let's just hope one of these lunatics doesn't throw a Molotov cocktail at this airport store.
More sane people also had some concerns about selling knock-off merchandise, but that is just the way the world works. If something is popular, people will try to make money off of it. The point is the popularity, not that some vendor sees an opportunity.
I will grant one reservation. I can't see the labels, so I don't know where these shirts and hats are made. If they aren't made in the USA (or worse, if they're made in China), then no one should buy one. No argument there.
But again, whether people purchase them or not isn't really the point here. Yes, it is better if everyone buys this shirt from TPUSA. But the message is Charlie Kirk's message, and seeing this merchandise being sold in the heart of the swamp means that his legacy is taking hold and growing far beyond even his highly successful organization.
This is what the movement looks like now

That's exactly what it is now. Not just a message, but a movement.
Irrelevant to everything but I totally called this ☺️

Amazing follow-through by true patriots. 🇺🇸
RIP Charlie 🪽 https://t.co/wKl3uWRN8j pic.twitter.com/hLZKDntsdx
Yep. They wanted to silence Charlie. Instead, they have no idea what they awakened.
His voice is louder than ever now.
Even in the deep blue swamp.
