I know many normies will be surprised at the unprecedented levels of batpoop craziness to which the Democrat Party has now delved (and they're still digging), but as Twitchy readers know, there were many warning signs along their pathway off of the reservation.
Particularly in the last four years, those signs were flashing like giant, red neon lights as many prominent Democrats left the party in disgust. Politicians changing parties happens often, but not on this scale. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, and others each had their own reasons, but all had one thing in common. They simply could not belong to what the party had become and was becoming.
In the cultural sphere, the hemorrhaging continued with movements like Walk Away and Gays Against Groomers. The richest man in the world, who had never voted Republican in his life, became a full-throated MAGA enthusiast. The most popular podcaster in the world, who had always been a 'Bernie Bro,' started regularly calling out the insanity of the trans activists and Democrats' unprecedented weaponization of the legal system and their attacks on free speech.
No, anyone paying attention could see the Democrats' freefall to their current 19 percent approval rating (and still dropping) coming from a mile away.
Yesterday, Manchin tried to issue one final warning to his former party, begging Democrats to look in a freaking mirror for once in their lives.

I disagree with Manchin on many policy issues, but he is correct that the far-left ideology is not only utter lunacy, but it will spell doom for Democrats as a viable national party in America.
But his former party will not listen to him. They are completely captured by their far-left fringe.
Imagine the Republican Party if every single politician in it were beholden to Nick Fuentes and dared never say or do anything that would upset him. That is where the Democrats are today.

See what I mean? And those were the polite responses. There were many more calling him some of the worst names you've ever seen written on a bathroom wall.
Granted, many of these responses are coming from online sock puppets, but that is who Democrats listen to now. Not sane voices like Manchin. They don't even listen to John Fetterman, who is as reliable and loyal a Democrat as a party could hope for.
Nope. They want Fetterman to be expelled. Because he's not a virulent, rabid antisemite. And has the courage to say so, unlike Chuck Schumer.
I could go on with more hateful replies on X directed at Fetterman, but you already know what all of them said. They will ignore Manchin because they cannot bear what it would mean for them to listen to him.
That requires a modicum of self-awareness. The left has lost that.
