Yesterday was a rough day. Today isn't much better, but I am going to do my best because even though we are winning the fight against the left, against wokeness, against communists, and against insanity, I have long said that they will bite, scratch, and claw like dying animals before they give up the ghost. This is a time that will require a great deal of strength and all our faith because the left is going to test them both and do their best to destroy them.
Wednesday morning's massacre of innocents at a Catholic church school in Minneapolis by a deranged leftist -- who wanted to target children -- was horrific enough and almost impossible to believe all by itself. But the aftermath of the shooting made me sick to my stomach.
I simply cannot comprehend people like Jacob Frey, Jen Psaki, and Gavin Newsom, who would attack and even mock those victims, their families, and all of the rest of us for turning to our faith in the wake of a tragedy.
I almost hesitate to even call them 'people.' If Robert Westman was a demon, and I believe that he was, what does one call those in political and media leadership positions who not only mock that which he mocked but also try to obscure his motivations for the unimaginable slaughter of children?
Are they any less demonic?
In April, I wrote about how dangerous a time it is in America, as the left was openly declaring itself the party of violence. They don't just permit it or turn a blind eye to it. They defend it, they encourage it, and, yes, they even celebrate it. Just look at how they are reacting to the effort to reduce crime in Washington, DC.
It's one thing when that violence is focused on political leaders, which is unconscionable enough in its own right. Poll the left and you will find far too many of them are perfectly OK with assassinating the President, and anyone else in a leadership position who is on his 'team.'
But the Annunciation massacre in Minneapolis revealed that there is no target that is off limits. In fact, the softer the target, the more likely demons will seek it out. Leftists take out their hate and rage against America on those who are least able to defend themselves.
This shouldn't surprise me, or anyone, coming from a group that lauds abortion, but it's still difficult to accept. And I fear it will only get worse before it can begin to get better.

He's not wrong. I know that as a conservative host, Matt Walsh likes to stir things up, but he is absolutely right.
We are already seeing more violence from the trans cult (which has always been inherently violent).
BREAKING: MORE TRANS VIOLENCE Sasha Shakur, a man pretending to be a woman, was just arrested in Massachusetts after he allegedly shot and kiIIed a 57-year-old man. Shakur was reportedly spray painting on a local bridge when the victim took a picture of him, which started an altercation. Shakur then allegedly shot the man during the incident. Shakur was arrested at his home, which was covered in graffiti such as "BLM, Free Palestine, and Defund the Police." Why does this keep happening???

It's not bad timing. It's what they want and it's what they've been building up.
It goes beyond just the mentally ill trans community, though. It's ALL of the left. One of my favorite X accounts, Jesse Kelly, posted his thoughts about why the times ahead are going to test us.

That is some scary stuff, but he's not wrong either. At Twitchy, I and our other writers often laugh about how the Democrats haven't learned anything from the election loss last November. But what Kelly is describing here is no laughing matter.
He's talking about a party that doesn't want to learn. A party that has become completely swallowed in a vicious cycle of ever-increasing violent rhetoric. And a party that caters to the exact sort of unhinged individuals who will eagerly carry out the implied directives of that rhetoric.
Because if they cannot exert power and control over America, you can damn well bet that they'll do their best to destroy it, and us.
Our only option, of course, is to lean harder into our strength and our faith. And to lean on each other when they test us.
Yesterday was a test of that for me, and I failed it. I found myself increasingly angry, frustrated, joyless, and humorless. Not just that we have demons in our midst, there have always been those, but that we have 'leaders' who will egg them on with no remorse. So, I retreated, rather than lash out in my own anger (rhetorically speaking, of course, not physically).
In short, I felt completely defeated.

After a night of prayer and reflection, however, I realized that this is exactly what they want. They push our limits to the unthinkable in the hope that we will retreat, that we will just give up at seeing how horrific they have shown themselves capable of being and becoming.
We can't. We must not. That way lies madness.
This morning, I woke up to the realization that our collective strength and faith are needed now more than ever. And I may be a tiny voice, but there is not one of us who is too small to contribute.
Yes, it is a dangerous time in America, maybe the most dangerous of my lifetime, no matter how much we are winning.
But if the left wants a fight in their desire to destroy the soul of America, and it's clear that they do, then I'm their huckleberry.
And I know I am not alone.
