As bad as anyone thinks the deep blue, swampy regions of Northern Virginia are ... they're worse.
They're so much worse.
At the bottom of this article, I have listed several links to just a few of the stories I and others at Twitchy have written in recent years about the corruption that runs rampant in Fairfax County alone. They include election interference, indoctrinating children into woke critical theory and trans ideology, expelling children from schools who complained about being bullied by antisemites, harboring and protecting illegal criminals guilty of sexual assault, and much more.
But even I wasn't prepared for the shocking allegations that were revealed this week from independent journalist Walter Curt. According to his report, Fairfax County is guilty not only of providing taxpayer-funded abortions to minors but also of hiding those abortions from the children's parents.
🚨EXCLUSIVE: Covert Taxpayer-Funded Abortion Ring at Fairfax’s Centreville High—Teens Coerced, Parents Cut Out

Curt's report is based on the allegations of two students at Fairfax Centreville High School, and, while they are just allegations at this point, the details the students and a whistleblower teacher provide are both horrifying and damning.
Fairfax County’s Centreville High School is staring down a potential criminal firestorm. Two female students—both minors—say school officials arranged and bankrolled abortions at Fairfax Healthcare Center without so much as a phone call to their parents, a direct break with Virginia’s parental-notification law. One girl underwent the procedure at 17; the other, five months pregnant and pleading to keep her baby, bolted from the clinic after social worker Carolina Díaz allegedly told her she 'had no choice.' Principal Chad Lehman, the girls insist, knew—and taxpayers footed the bill.
A handwritten statement from the first student, translated for clarity, lays out how Díaz scheduled the appointment, paid the clinic’s fees, and swore her to secrecy. The girl, an 11th-grade ESOL student, says the abortion took place in November 2021—while she was still seventeen—making the concealment a straight-line violation of state law.
That letter alone would be enough to raise the hair on the back of a patriotic taxpayer’s neck, but there is more. A second Centreville minor, five months pregnant and wavering, was allegedly told by the same social worker that she 'had no other choice.' The girl, terrified, ultimately bolted from the clinic rather than go through with the procedure. She later confided in her teacher, Mrs. Zenaida Perz, who allowed her name to be used on the record and provided The W.C. Dispatch a recording of the family confirming that no one at the school had ever informed them of the intent to terminate their daughter’s pregnancy ...
... Both incidents, sources say, were green‑lighted by Principal Chad Lehman and financed—again, allegedly—through school funds, meaning taxpayer dollars may have underwritten clandestine abortions carried out on minors without parental knowledge.
As Curt notes in his exclusive report, Virginia law is very clear on this matter. Unless there is a court ruling stating otherwise, all physicians must certify in writing that at least one parent has been notified before performing an abortion on a minor.
If these allegations are true, the principal, the social worker, and likely many others have committed felonies.
There is one additional detail about the story that is chilling. The brave teacher who spoke to Curt, Zenaida Perz, also claims that the school tried to silence her as well and get her fired.
Mrs. Perz says the scandal did not end at the clinic door. According to written statements by multiple students that The Dispatch has reviewed, school administrators tried to muzzle her once she learned the truth—pressuring classmates to bait her into minor policy violations that could justify firing or force a quiet resignation. Those tactics only hardened her resolve: 'The girl never wanted that abortion, and her family was never told,' she insists.
Curt did not receive a comment from administrators at Centreville High School or the Fairfax County School Board regarding the allegations, but the county doesn't have the best track record when it comes to following the law or notifying parents. They have been caught hiding fentanyl overdoses and 'gender transitions' (not to mention illegal alien sexual predators living there, as I noted above and in the links below).
So now, Fairfax public schools aren't just keeping secrets from parents related to drug overdoses, social transitioning students and subjecting kids to the risks of unisex locker/bathrooms. Nope, there's more! Fairfax public schools are paying for abortions!👇 https://t.co/i80MACJQOr

OMG under age girls, state money and coercion. WOW.

The school district must answer these allegations.
If they won't speak to reporters, then they should be forced to answer to Attorney General Jason Miyares.
This must be investigated by @JasonMiyaresVA at once! https://t.co/3SDG3SxAwG

This is monstrous. These people need to be arrested.
— Stock Mom™ (@TheRealStockMom) August 6, 2025
And it goes without saying that everyone involved needs to be fired.
This is horrifying. Just completely ruthless to take their agency from them. Abortion advocates love to talk about choice unless you make the “wrong” one. That 17yo is very brave.

It begs the question of how many other similar abortions were performed at the school or in the county, but other students were too scared to speak up, unlike the two girls in Curt's report.
Some of us have been sounding the alarm that this was coming. FCPS and LCPS have been turning schools from academia only institutions into community schools where there’s mental health care, access to food and clothes, abortion assistance, and even now at LCPS drug rehab. https://t.co/soarGEzzBe

And Virginia isn't the only state where these attempts are being made.
These SBHC are being installed throughout the country. Here is what they are, what they can do, and how they lie to parents. https://t.co/Dxp8DliEn1

The left believes that children belong to them, not to parents. It's that simple.
They don't even hide from saying it anymore.
Finally, this year is an election year in Virginia with all 100 seats in the currently evenly divided House of Delegates at stake. And wouldn't you know it, the Democrats have proposed a constitutional amendment for Virginia on 'reproductive rights.'
This is extremely troubling!! Also, if democrats pass their abortion amendment, parents will be cut out of situations like this. Your kid can’t take Tylenol at school without your permission but your daughter could undergo a dangerous surgical procedure without your knowledge. https://t.co/wa6Rr3CQ3r

Yes, if Democrats win, they will put that abortion amendment on the ballot for voters.
Oh, by the way, Virginia will also pick a new governor this year. In case you didn't think CIA Abigail Spanberger was bad enough, watch her address the question of parental notification about abortions.
🚨NOW that we know what’s REALLY going on in Fairfax, with minors being secretly given abortions without parental consent or notification.
— Walter Curt (@WCdispatch_) August 5, 2025
It’s worth noting that Abigail Spanberger DOES NOT SUPPORT parental consent.
Virginia parents cannot allow the Democrats to cut them out… pic.twitter.com/Nj7TLL7El4
... cut them out of their daughter’s lives.
Parents are the only ones who can have these conversations with their children—PERIOD.
Choose wisely Virginia, or they will choose for you.
Did you notice how she failed to answer the question?
That's not an accident. Spanberger does not believe in parental rights; she just needs to evade saying that out loud before the election (unlike Terry McAuliffe, who probably lost to Glenn Youngkin in 2021 because he DID say it out loud).
Attorney General Miyares is also running for re-election this fall. If he wants to win, he will open an investigation into Centreville High School and Fairfax County Public Schools immediately.
After that, it is up to us voters in November to make sure these monstrous Democrats do NOT win a majority in the House or the governorship in Virginia.
The lives of children, both the unborn and the ones in schools, are at stake.
