Some major blows have been dealt to the gender ideology cult in recent months and they're not coming from conservative pundits, 'influencers,' or even outspoken critics of sterilizing and mutilating children.
Those voices are important, absolutely, but the real damage is coming from the left's favorite source: 'THE science.'
Except when we say those words, we're not talking about false idols like Tony Fauci. We're talking about actual scientific research. From the CASS Report to the French Senate report to medical research showing that suicide rates go UP when people have their preferred gender 'affirmed,' it's becoming obvious that there simply is no medical basis for 'gender-affirming care.' And there never was.
Most recently, a new long-term research study out of Germany is confirming what many critics of gender ideology have always known: most children, young girls in particular, will outgrow gender identities that are different from their biological sex.
Independent journalist Christina Buttons reported details of the study earlier this week:

🚨 GROUND-BREAKING NEW STUDY: A long-term study from Germany on insurance data reveals that the majority of youth outgrow their transgender identity, with 72.7% of 15-19-year-old females with a gender identity diagnosis desisting after five years.

Yeah, we're pretty sure Johnny the Walrus could have told everyone that. But still, it's important to have documented research to help the fight against destroying children's lives.
The actual study is in German (obviously), but Buttons provided details in her article and Twitter thread.
The study examined insurance data over five years, revealing that more than half of young people aged 5-24 across every age subgroup diagnosed with "gender identity disorder" no longer had the diagnosis after five years. Specifically, the desistance rate was 72.7% in 15- to 19-year-old females and 50.3% in 20- to 24-year-old males. Among the whole group of 5- to 24-year-olds, only about 36.4% of those diagnosed in 2017 still had the diagnosis five years later, indicating that more than 63% desisted.
The number among older males is not overwhelming, but those are adults. Look at the number among teenage girls. Nearly 73 percent no longer had the diagnosis.
Buttons added that the study had a very large sample size and observational period, adding to the validity of the results.
A key strength of this study is its comprehensive outpatient billing data for all legally insured persons in Germany, offering a large, representative sample. The observation period from 2013 to 2022 provides valuable insights into long-term trends and diagnosis rates.

Here is the less encouraging part of the study: the overall explosion in diagnoses in recent years.
The study noted a dramatic rise in gender identity disorder diagnoses. In 2013, there were 22.5 cases per 100,000 insured youths, rising to 175.7 per 100,000 by 2022, an increase of nearly 681%. In 2022, 15-19-year-old females had 452.6 cases per 100,000. pic.twitter.com/BG8dsMnN76

But we're not allowed to call it a social contagion, right?
The German research also confirms a Dutch study that Buttons reported on back in April which found the same results.
This new German study aligns with recent findings from a long-term Dutch study, which found that the majority of adolescents expressing a desire to be the opposite sex no longer felt that way in adulthood. https://t.co/Rn5z8koLhp

This supports a growing body of research showing that gender dissatisfaction during adolescence is often temporary and tends to decline with age.
Children, even teenagers, have a rich imagination. Maybe we should stop indulging every whim of that imagination through sterilizing drugs and mutilating surgeries. Europe is already putting an end to it, it's time for America to follow suit.
One person who tragically agrees with that premise is Chloe Cole.
I wish I was given 5 years to find my identity without being medicalized.

I would’ve grown up with my body intact. https://t.co/RgFqMcgLX7
What doctors did to Cole when she was an impressionable young girl is repugnant ... and criminal. Her lawsuits against those medical institutions (along with lawsuits from other women who have rejected being transitioned as children) will be a huge legal step in ending this medical malpractice.
In light of several recent studies, including this one, Gender affirming clinics like the Gender Support Program at PCH need to re-evaluate their standards of care and change course. Other studies/reports include:

'Re-evaluate their standards and change course' is a really polite way of saying, 'STOP THIS MADNESS.'
The rest of this tweet outlines more evidence:
• The WPATH Files revealed that clinicians violate medical ethics and informed consent
• The Mayo Clinic released a study that reveals puberty blockers may not be as reversible as was thought
• The Cass Report revealed that published studies on gender care are of poor quality
• England’s National Health Service banned puberty blockers for kids because there’s not enough evidence of safety
But stopping isn't enough. There needs to be accountability too.
Cult survivors often never fully recover from their trauma. They carry it with them forever.

Let's help those recovering get their day in court. https://t.co/uuj5leGaAH
Of all the female abuses to fight against, one would think sterilizing them in their teens by convincing them they were born the wrong sex, before their brains have even fully developed, would be near the top of the list. https://t.co/juyiiWrn7J
— F* Your Short Memory 🏴 Anti-Cult of Absurdity (@BucMon21) June 11, 2024
Near the top of the list? How about all the way at the top of the list? Followed closely by allowing men to change in women's locker rooms and use women's bathrooms.
The correct phrase is "escape their groomers". https://t.co/Qx9iqMMKd2
— Katewerk (@katewerk) June 11, 2024
It's much worse when those groomers are doctors. Doctors who only see a lifelong cash cow in front of them, not a confused young girl.
The statute of limitations on rights to action for medical malpractice for "gender-affirming care" (trans medicine, especially for minors) should at a minimum be double the average time of desistance, which is iirc 5-7 years. This one change will do more to stop it than anything. https://t.co/LjT1ojaN2p
— James Lindsay, full varsity (@ConceptualJames) June 11, 2024
We'd be fine with NO statute of limitations on such butchery.
What a shock- to no one with a lick of common sense. Of the 27.3% that have still hang on to their fantasy, I'll bet at least half of them have desisted but are refusing to admit their original mistake publicly. https://t.co/ne9BFF7SO0
— Michael Openshaw (@mopenshaw) June 12, 2024
There's no way to confirm that claim through the research, but common sense and logic, not to mention the public pressure and indoctrination young girls face, would suggest this might be accurate.

"Kids know who they are."
Lawsuits.
Devastating lawsuits will shut down the lies and the whole industry built on lies, coercion and ENTRAPMENT of vulnerable youth.
And voting.
Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan infamously stated in 2023, 'When our children tell us who they are, it is our job as grownups to listen and believe them.'
No, Peggy. Your job is to be a good parent. And 'affirming' gender identities is the direct opposite of that.
And it's worse when doctors proudly brag that they don't need research or testing to justify 'gender-affirming care,' all they need to do is ask the kids. Once.
Unfortunately for those doctors -- and all trans activists -- 'THE science' is adding up, study after study. What that research is telling us is that 'transing the kids' is an abomination.
Maybe for once, the left should follow their own mantra and 'believe in science.'
