Back in February, I told you how Venezuela -- that communist utopia -- had figured out a way to solve its crime problem: send the criminals to the U.S. Thanks to our failed border czar, Kamala Harris, and the open borders policies of the Biden administration, they did just that.
For now, I'll set aside the discussion about how anyone would want to leave the glories of communism that the American Left praises, and instead focus on what this policy looks like.
In Aurora, Colorado -- the state's third largest city -- armed Venezuelan gangs have overtaken apartment buildings, evicting residents and causing crime to skyrocket.

Guess it's not the police chief who is getting evicted by gun-toting gangs of illegals. Must be nice.

But for the residents of Aurora who are threatened by these illegal immigrants, I'm willing to bet that this is a major concern.
As it should be for all Americans.
This decline is a choice. A choice by politicians at the federal, state, and local levels to not enforce immigration laws. It goes back years, but Kamala Harris is the VP now and the buck stops with her. Biden's on a beach in Delaware, so someone's gotta take the blame for it.
She was the border czar. And despite the media trying to separate her from that role, their only line if defense is: Kamala was simply tasked with finding the root causes of illegal immigration.
That's not the defense they think it is.
I have a degree in English and a degree in Nursing. Even I figured out what the 'root cause' of illegal immigration is:
WIDE OPEN BORDERS and a failure to ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAW.
I should not have to spell this out for the woman who is a heartbeat away from the Resolute Desk.
Yet here I am and here we are.
That it's gotten this far is not a surprise to me, nor should it surprise anyone who has been paying attention. I've told you repeatedly how Colorado's sanctuary cities have cut fire/police budgets to pay for illegals and reduced services at the DMV and parks/rec departments (including laying off hourly workers). Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has said the city is at capacity.
Guess he wasn't lying as they've now started taking over other cities, like Aurora.
This is how the Democratic Party -- with Kamala Harris at its helm -- view the future of America: cities governed by lawless, violent South American gangs who have the power to throw you out of your house, to injure, rape, and even murder Americans with impunity.
No wonder she's trying to flip-flop on her immigration stance. Never forget what she's said, though:

The reality of what she supports is unacceptable.
What is it going to take for politicians to enforce our laws and defend American citizens from the onslaught of illegal immigrants sucking up our tax dollars, our housing, and costing Americans their lives? Will Venezuelan gangs have to storm the Governor's mansion before they act?
How long before fed up voters -- who are now literally being driven out of their homes -- hold to account the people who created this mess and now refuse to clean it up?
These are questions that can no longer wait for answers.
