This is a heartbreaking story.
Mary and Jeremy Cox lost their son after Indiana's Department of Child Services took the boy. Why? The Coxes, who are Catholic, wouldn't 'affirm' his gender identity and call him a girl. They placed the boy with a foster family who would.

The parents have reportedly filed a petition to the Supreme Court asking for their case to be heard.

This should never happen in America.
'Gender affirmation' is an insidious lie being sold to adolescents and teens -- who are too young to make informed, life-altering decisions concerning their fertility and future growth and development.
They can't drink or buy cigarettes or guns until they're 21, they can't vote until they're 18. But at 10 or 11 they can decide to take hormones, stop puberty, and have their breasts and genitals removed?
Forgive the frankness, but children who transition face a lifetime of medical interventions to keep their 'neo-vagina' open, they face the risk of fistulas, odors and infections (the vagina is often constructed from tissue from the colon), boys who take puberty blocking hormones end up with micropenises if they don't have them removed, and can never achieve orgasm. Girls face infertility and the inability to breastfeed if they undergo mastectomies.
These procedures are irreversible and it is a lie that 'puberty blocking hormones' can be reversed and puberty can be restarted like the body is a faulty car engine.
It's dangerous and wrong to do this to children.
And now the lawsuits are starting to roll in. We have stories from detransitioners who regret their decisions. Even the NYT is starting to shift its reporting on this issue.
And any parent who tries to protect their child(ren) from this insanity deserve our full support. Up to and including from SCOTUS.
If the Supreme Court gets this wrong, we can kiss parental rights goodbye.

Two adults create a child, and are then responsible to raise that child in a healthy environment; not affirm their child’s delusions.
Yes.
Now, keep in mind the Left routinely ignores SCOTUS rulings it doesn't like (see Biden and student loans).
We have no reason to believe they wouldn't respond the same way to this case, if SCOTUS takes it up and rules in favor of the parents.
If the Supreme Court doesn't overturn this case it will have terrible repercussions for everyone in America. It's not the government’s job to tell us how to parent our children.

We're also 100% certain SCOTUS staying out of this case would be a green light to tyrants everywhere to double down on taking kids from their parents -- for the trans issue, as well as any other one they can cook up.

Children are the line in the sand.
Look at the blowback during COVID lockdowns and virtual school. The pushback at school board meetings (the Biden administration classified those parents as domestic terrorists) demonstrates how passionate parents can be, and need to be.
But the Left is relentless; they count on us getting fatigued from the constant vigilance and fighting we need to do to keep their insanity at bay. They want to break us down so we give up and give in.
We cannot.
An entire generation of children are relying on us to be their protection against people who will mutilate and sterilize them, because those same people will wash their hands of the damage they've done and move on to their next cause.
Future generations will look back at this time with the same disdain as the Nazi Germany experiments, the Tuskegee airmen, the forced sterilization in America, and rightly so.
And those of us protecting children are on the right side of history.
