Apparently, many at Court TV were rooting for Karmelo Anthony on Tuesday when a Texas jury found him guilty of murdering Austin Metcalf. Witnesses testified that Anthony refused to leave Metcalf’s tent at a high school track meet in Frisco (near Dallas) in April last year. Anthony fatally stabbed the 17-year-old Metcalf in the heart.
These reactions were before Anthony (now 19 years of age) was sentenced to 35 years in prison. (WATCH)

“Wow…Guilty of murder. That’s heavy."
Just absolutely shocked here that justice was done. pic.twitter.com/xEqPai7jtf
Heavy......like a knife straight to the heart of a stranger heavy?

They do seem to think Anthony is somehow the victim, which is crazy based on the evidence and testimony given.
Posters say Anthony’s guilt was quite obvious, especially once the trial got underway.
He was asked to leave 15 times, was clearly the aggressor, and plunged a knife to the hilt into a young man’s chest, extinguishing his life.

MURDER.
It’s not hard to grasp, unless you’re mentally challenged.
And, I seriously doubt this person was at all emotional about the young man who was murdered.

That’s the feeling we get.
Another Court TV contributor downplays the murder of Metcalf because of the length of the blade wielded by Anthony.

“What happened?! It was a 4-inch knife, he used it one time! He was pushed!… how did you get this verdict?… I’m enraged right now!” pic.twitter.com/pHlhV9lZM5
Democrats are shocked to learn that you can be charged with murder for killing somebody.

Who the hell is this Court TV reporter?
— RapidStupid (@RapidStupid) June 9, 2026
'...It was a 4" knife, he used it one time'
So if someone shot another person in the head it is OK because they only shot once?
The fact that people like this have more sympathy for the murderer than the victim is sickening.
Would it have been better if it was an 8" knife only used half-way? A 2" knife twice? Not sure what this idiot is trying to illustrate?

He's just upset that the murderer is facing consequences and spewing nonsense because he has no emotional regulation.
— RapidStupid (@RapidStupid) June 9, 2026
These incredulous reactions are extremely unprofessional. Being ruled by one’s emotions and acting irrationally is how Metcalf’s life was stolen from him. You’d think these Court TV hacks would have gleaned that valuable life lesson while following the trial.
