Matthew Haas, the Albemarle County Public Schools superintendent who went out of his way to try shutting down a Turning Point USA chapter at one of his high schools, just got the boot.
As in fired.

After the community found out he had buried an employee’s 11 felony sex crimes against children, parents and locals showed up, demanded answers, and forced his resignation. Good riddance.

Here’s a guy who treated a student conservative group like a threat to the entire district while apparently looking the other way when one of his own people was accused of horrific crimes against kids. The priorities couldn’t have been clearer if he’d written them on a whiteboard in the central office.
The fact that it took community pressure and public exposure to finally remove Haas says everything. These administrators don’t fear parents or accountability until the spotlight gets too bright and their jobs are on the line. Parents in Albemarle County did what too many districts force families to do everywhere — fight like hell just to get basic safety and common sense back into their schools. Haas is gone, but the real work starts now: making sure whoever replaces him actually prioritizes kids over ideology and cover-ups. Bye, Matt. The door’s already hit you on the way out.
