Ok, so before I even get into the meat of this post, let me get one thing straight: if you are a Massie supporter, more power to you. As I am not thrilled with some of his decisions in the last year or so, I am not, but to each their own. There are many things about Massie in the past to like and support ... I just wish the new him would chat with the old him and get back to that place.
BUT ANYWHO, now that I've done the whole preface thing, I can write the actual post.
Thomas Massie accused me of being paid to disagree with him.
I know, right? I mean, I do write about politics for a living, but nobody pays me for my opinions on X. If you follow me, you've likely seen them, and c'mon, who would pay for my babbling? Especially for the post he accused me of getting paid for.
It all started here:
Never in the 250 year history of our Republic has this happened in a Congressional race.

Support from all over the country is pouring in, because this May 19 election is about We The People vs. foreign lobbies & Epstein’s billionaire cronies.

So ... in my mind, money streaming in from all over the country doesn't seem like something any candidate running for a state election should be bragging about.
I replied:
Weird way to admit the majority of your donations are from out of state and not your own state.

Seriously, not that groundbreaking and definitely not worth the bizarrely paranoid reaction from Massie:
How much were you paid for this post?
— Thomas Massie for Congress (@MassieforKY) May 9, 2026
I have over 1,000 Kentucky donors. My opponent has reported fewer than 100.
I joked around and said I was paid $3.15 and a bag of Doritos for the post ... but man, his supporters went nuts. Like unhinged Lefty right after Trump was elected nuts.
They accused me of being a man, of being a bot, of being a Ziobot, and of course, a Jew (or a Jew lover). His supporters reminded me of why I wasn't thrilled with the direction the good senator from Kentucky has taken lately.
Maybe I should have reminded them all that Massie follows me on X.
Yeah.
Hrm, maybe next time.
