There's just something annoyingly stupid about Gavin Newsom whining over gas prices.
I mean, come on, Gav. You've spent years turning California into the poster child for green virtue-signaling, and now you're on X trying to score a cheap political point on Trump over gas prices?
Spare us the tears.
Nobody is thrilled when crude jumps and pumps hurt more. But let's talk reality, shall we? Californians have been paying through the nose for years, routinely a buck or two (or more) above the national average, thanks to your parade of policies and TAXES. You have pushed to shutter refineries while importing gas from... the Magic Fairyland of Oil Refineries?
That's not fighting 'Big Oil.' That's playing politics with people's lives.

Sure, geopolitics moves markets (I almost sound like I know what I'm talking about, right? Heh).
But California's baseline pain? That's all on you, Hair Gel.
Turns out heavy-handed rules, shrinking capacity, and OH YEAH, ridiculous gas taxes, make your state uniquely vulnerable. Shocking, I know.
It's the hypocrisy that grates most. Newsom preens as the adult in the room, the guy with a plan for everything except the predictable consequences of his own agenda. He lectures the country on energy while Californians dodge $5, $6, and even $7 per gallon in some spots. Families filling up for work, groceries, or soccer practice don't care about your partisan scoreboard.
They care that their governor helped engineer one of the most expensive driving experiences in America and still plays victim (and blames Trump) when the bill comes due.
