There are some subjects that certain people should simply avoid altogether. For instance, Jim Cramer should never be allowed to offer stock tips. Paul Krugman should never mention the Internet again.
And California Gov. Gavin Newsom should forever keep the word "authoritarian" out of his mouth, unless he is mentioning it as he signs his confession.
This week, the legacy media is playing their favorite role, that of the heroic victim. Ever since they found out that there are consequences for their continued lies about the Trump administration, namely being booted out of the White House, they have been screeching about the President being a tyrant (even though they never said a word when Presidents Obama and Biden did much worse), and how courageous they all are for "resisting" him.
In other words, as always, they haven't learned a single thing.
But the irony got thicker than the San Francisco Bay morning fog when Newsom decided to step into the fight last night, decrying the President as an "authoritarian."
The President of the United States of America blocked access to the free press and launched state-run media.

This is authoritarianism in action.

This is the same man who arrested people for going to the beach during COVID, filled outdoor skateparks with sand, and ordered everyone else to stay home while he dined out with his rich friends at The French Laundry.
Just last year, the man tried to ban memes. MEMES!
Independent journalist Nick Shirley knows all too well who Newsom is, and delivered a solid ratio telling the governor exactly that.

Newsom is desperately trying to memory hole and whitewash his COVID record, but nobody is buying what he's attempting to sell.
