On Friday, Jen Psaki formally handed the Biden press secretary baton to former deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre after her final briefing. Psaki choked up during her farewell:

But Monday brought with it a new Biden press secretary, and it didn’t take long for Karine Jean-Pierre to remind reporters of her credentials. And by “credentials” we mean her sexual orientation and immigration history:
