California Governor Gavin Newsom is under investigation by the Department of Justice, but he’s directing his ire towards the wrong president. We’ll have more on that in a bit. He surely knows he is lying, but Newsom has always been a Democrat who doesn't let truth get in his way. He saw an opportunity to dishonestly blame President Donald Trump for his and his wife’s legal woes and took it with gusto.

It’s funny that Newsom is trying to paint this investigation as Trump’s revenge.
In the past, he’s claimed that Democrats would go after Trump if they regain power. He explains that desire is not driven by revenge but by an obligation of accountability. Sure, Gavin. (WATCH)

As I have reported several times and now acknowledged by the Governor of California...Gavin and his wife are under federal investigation... what he failed to tell you... This began during the Biden Admin. Kind of a big detail.

Elements began last year or earlier under the prior administration—not a brand-new Trump directive. Career officials, not political leadership in DC, drove the start per sources. Newsom framed recent subpoenas/contacts as retaliation.
