Last month, the Washington Free Beacon reported that the Biden administration was in fact eyeing a ban on about half of all gas stoves sold in the United States. Not because they want to screw over Americans or anything, but because they need to stay within the boundaries of the Department of Energy’s proposed cooking appliance efficiency regulations.
A new Biden administration “efficiency” rule would effectively ban half of all gas stoves on the U.S. market from being sold, according to an Energy Department projection.

Of course this news came after we were assured by no less than the White House themselves that our all of gas stoves were safe and would not need to be pried out of our cold, dead hands.
Well, fast-forward less than a month from the Free Beacon’s report to now, where Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is maintaining that the Biden administration doesn’t want to ban all gas stoves; just the higher-end nice ones:

Show of hands right now: Who here thinks that the Biden administration would stop with a ban on expensive gas stoves? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Of course they wouldn’t stop at expensive gas stoves. What even constitutes an expensive gas stove? Everything is more expensive under Joe Biden, including stoves. So wouldn’t every stove be fair game anyway?
yes just the ones used by middle class ,average ,working class Americans—‼️

Gotta love how middle-class Biden is looking out for middle-class America.
'Some' means 'yours'

Just YOUR gas stove, NOT THEIRS…
— Gabby25 (@Gabby2Angels) March 23, 2023
Correct. Jill Biden won’t be subject to the new regulations, of course.

Nor would AOC. Or any Democratic politicians for that matter.
Not to mention there wouldn’t be a restaurant anywhere since they ALL use gas stoves for their food preparation. Maybe that’s part of the plan. They’d have us eating bugs even faster if there are no restaurants. 🦗🪳

When markets can respond to the desires of consumers, they work extremely well. Government meddling that denies access to affordable, dependable power, for no appreciable environmental benefits, will only ensure Americans will unnecessarily pay the price.
— BMO (@BMO68) March 23, 2023
That’s the whole point, isn’t it? To make Americans pay the price.
Remember how this was all republican hysteria and conspiracy….
cant wait to watch the heroes at NYT take notice and report on the admin lying https://t.co/yZNdymMUaR
— Ahmed Al Assliken (@assliken) March 23, 2023
Mr. Al Assliken is being facetious, of course. The heroes at the New York Times and in the mainstream media in general won’t give a crap that the Biden administration is lying about gas stoves. They won’t care until Republicans and conservatives notice that the administration is lying. Then and only then will the MSM be interested in writing about any of this.
Anyway, here’s an idea for elitist libs like Jennifer Granholm and New York Times journalists with their fingers on our pulses:
Start with private jets. Then we can talk stoves.
— Hank Slaben 🇺🇸 (@HangslebenMatt) March 23, 2023
If they have to ban private jets first, our gas stoves aren’t going anywhere.
