Now that a Twitter account purportedly belonging to mail bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc has been found, armchair detectives can get to work figuring out what makes Sayoc tick.
Leading the pack is “free speech activist” — and famed Ben Shapiro archnemesis — Nathan Bernard. In Sayoc’s purported Twitter feed, he’s found conclusive proof that Ben Shapiro is “inciting terrorists”:
Cesar Sayoc has @benshapiro content on his Twitter feed. Several months ago, prosecutors discovered the Quebec City mosque shooter studied Shapiro's work obsessively before killing six people.
This is a dangerous trend. The facts suggest Ben is inciting terrorists. #MAGABomber pic.twitter.com/NNuKNfn167

Not again

Oops, Ben did it again.

Did what? Appeared on some lunatic’s Twitter feed?
Oops Ben did it again,

oh benny, benny
— Nathan Bernard (@nathanTbernard) October 26, 2018
Bernard’s a bit of a looney tune himself, no?
Brilliant!

That’s sarcasm, Nathan. Just so you know. You’re not brilliant. Not even a little bit.
That’s not how it works.

This is crazy logic. smh
— CCGAMESCEO??✌? (@ccgamesceo) October 26, 2018
How the hell is he inciting violence though. I’m no fan of Ben, but the dude definitely hasn’t advocated for a mass shooting or “bombing”
— cracky (@Crackhead__joe) October 26, 2018
Guys, I’m no Shapiro fan, but this is some incendiary hyperbole. You gonna call every account the guy followed a terrorist? Come on now. That sounds as crazy as them.
— Tim Nicolai (@tim_nicolai) October 26, 2018
Wow, I’m no Ben Shapiro fan but this is not cool. People take words and twists them to hear what they want. Come on now— this standard is not only flawed but dangerous.
— Garden_Spells (@gardenspell) October 26, 2018
This is incredibly irresponsible
— Avery Reach (@areach50) October 26, 2018
If your standard for inciting terrorist is that they once saw your content, then literally every politician and public figure is inciting violence. This is insanely stupid. Especially since @benshapiro consistently condemns violence and calls to violence everyday.
