Wait ... you mean to tell me Charles Schumer is being dishonest about his intentions behind the 'deal' to open the government? NO WAY. Say it ain't so! He's usually such a trustworthy senator. Surely he wouldn't deliberately extend Obamacare subsidies a year out to make sure they are timed with midterms, causing Americans to go without, so they can once again be used as leverage for the Democratic Party.

Nothing says you're offering something worthwhile to the discussion and debate like running out when challenged. Maybe he had to get back and serve up those raw hamburger patties he was pretending to barbecue.
Democrats need to stop blocking government funding and deal with the mess they created. COVID is over, folks. These subsidies should have been kaput at least two years ago; the fact that we're dealing with them now tells me that our leaders still love to kick the can down the road.
