This is terrifying.

From the National Review:

Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an “unlawful business practice” to engage in “a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer” that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in “sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.”

The bill then defines “sexual orientations change efforts” as “any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex.” (Emphasis added.)

Whether or not you agree with the goods in question, that any government would knowingly work to ban any such goods is a huge red flag.

Even in California.

That’s not what David said.

She does know that.

Or does she?

Huh?

It’s about government overstepping and banning the sale of any good; any person who supports free speech and free ideas should absolutely condemn this bill regardless of their personal beliefs around the LGBTQ community. Imagine the fit they’d throw if a state was banning books or goods promoting the gay community.

They’d lose their minds.

We feel like we’re saying, ‘Oh boy,’ a lot today.

Oh boy.

What does Parker think goods are? Books are absolutely a good.

But she knows that.

We’ll say it again … but she knows that.

Heh.
