Before he first ran for Senate in 2008, Virginia's Mark Warner made a promise to voters:
'I will serve no more than two terms.'
In case anyone has not checked a calendar recently, it is now 2026, and Warner is nearing completion of his third term in the Senate. He has never explained why he broke his promise; he just counts on the Northern Virginia vote to keep getting elected in a state where no one really likes him, but the strong 'blue no matter who' bloc in the DC suburbs helps ensure that Warner doesn't ever have to find a real job again.
If you don't believe that no one really likes him, all you need to do is look at his announcement yesterday that he is now seeking a FOURTH term in the United States Senate.
I’m running for Senate to lower health care costs, to prepare our workforce for the economy of the future, and to protect our free and fair elections. This moment demands forward-looking leadership and a record of getting things done. pic.twitter.com/lYrfduiSIW

Lord help us. It's another 'HQ' account. We can only hope this one is as awful at social media as Kamala Harris's or Gavin Newsom's.
It's sure not off to a great start.

Whoops.
Maybe Warner forgot that this video and his pledge exist.
— DomAmen (@DAmendoJr) August 6, 2026
Virginia didn't forget.
You are running for the 4th time to make sure you can make more money. Oh and free/fair elections, that would be why you gave money to the D's here to try and redistrict, even though you knew they could not. You should have quit after the 2 terms but your ego is to big. Quit

Speaking of money, Virginia also did not forget how Warner spent his own money recently.
18 years and you haven't anything beyond being a fluffer for Dementia Joe and donated $100,000 to strip half of the state of their congressional representation.

If Warner is so adamant about 'free and fair elections,' his funding of Virginia's illegal, unconstitutional lobster redistricting attempt seems like a pretty bad way to show it.
Senator Warner is a NO on SAVE America -- he doesn't know from "free and fair elections"
— ((( charlottesville ))) (@CvilleBubble) August 6, 2026
He doesn't even know Virginia's voting laws

Well, that was embarrassing. We're sure Warner wasn't expecting to be humiliated so badly by a friendly journo like Jonathan Karl.
Warner's post also reads like he is a newcomer to politics, making most people wonder what, in fact, he has been doing in Washington for the past two decades.
You’ve been in office 18 years - why haven’t you don’t any of that already? https://t.co/pP4p409z0Y

He's been busy making selfie videos with his face WAAAAY too close to the camera.
Healthcare costs went up.

Economy got worse.
Said elections were stolen.
Name one bill Mark Warner has championed that has made life easier for the working class. Just one. https://t.co/7pzWgvcGSo
Well, there was that one bill he championed in the Senate:

OOF!
How's that one working out these days?
Reminder:

This jagoff voted for the Obamacare boondoggle that was supposed to solve the health care problem and did nothing but make it far worse. https://t.co/z3NWVyaeUF
Jagoff. That tracks.
The ratio has been mounting on Warner's tweet ever since his intern posted it.
Mark Warner's had 17 years to deliver, and he's failed.
— EllyKayUSA (@EllyKayUSA) August 5, 2026
It's too late to help Mark keep his promise to serve no more than 2 terms, but we can prevent him from getting a 4th.
Let's retire Mark Warner, Virginia! https://t.co/AJOS7dD0XL
We need a scrappy young man such as yourself to bring new thinking to DC.
— Bleu Cheque (@VERBAL_CHANCLA) August 5, 2026
Oh wait, haven’t you already had this job for 17 years? WTH have you been doing?
HA!
Why should anyone believe you will do these things this time?
— Queen Velvet (@TMIWITW) August 5, 2026
No one believes it. Not even Warner.
You have been absolutely worthless for VA.
— Cheryl (@Cheryl4labs) August 6, 2026
Whew. Tough crowd.
Tough, but fair and accurate.
Narrator: Warner has been a senator for 17 years and the only significant thing he's ever done is leak classified information to the press. https://t.co/SrNtviswI3
— Managing Decline (@cehoskinson) August 6, 2026
Warner probably hopes we forgot that other time this year when he and his team leaked information to The Guardian to run a hit piece on Tulsi Gabbard — a hit piece that The Guardian later had to retract.
Nope. We didn't forget that either.
How many 6 year terms have you been saying that? You voted for everything that did just the opposite. Instead of "leadership" you've given Virginia nothing but higher costs, less security & the importation of thousands and thousands of illegals. Hard pass. @PWCGOP @VA_GOP https://t.co/bgGShFabHc
— Christopher Stone (@CStone_VA) August 6, 2026
Didn’t you promise to only run for two terms? It feels like more than two terms.

It got so bad for Warner that even Democrat voters were asking why he is running for another term.
You've had how many terms to do this...pfttt...we don't believe you and I wish I had never voted for you!! https://t.co/YGq65e6up8
— Linda Gail (@linda_fromVA) August 5, 2026
Yikes.
If there are cracks in Virginia's blue wall, Warner could be in for a rough election.
Warner is full of sh&t. He hasn’t done any of this in 3 terms. He’s done the opposite. Vote for @GenBert2026 👇👇 https://t.co/n7MzC86vMm
— Jonny Quest (@jonnyquesthero) August 5, 2026
Warner's opponent in November is Republican Bert Mizusawa, a retired Army Major General.
We hope he can give Warner a run for his money, but we also remember how Virginia failed Navy veteran Hung Cao in his run against Tim Kaine in 2024.
But if Warner's campaign goes as badly for him as this post did, there's always hope.
