I hesitate to bring too much publicity (the good kind anyway) to left-wing accounts on X, let alone a left-wing account AND a far-left late-night media hack.
But you know, sometimes the schadenfreudeliciousness is just too good not to share.
The left seems to have found a new target for their ire, and -- Whoa, Nellie! -- wait'll you see the goods that John Oliver has on Chuck 'Burger Chef' Schumer.
I will get into why the left is turning on Schumer in a bit, but for now, take six minutes to enjoy Oliver absolutely RIPPING Schumer for his imaginary friends.

As Oliver says, Schumer has acknowledged that these people aren't real. It would be one thing if he were just using some made-up names as an amalgam for people he imagines are middle-class swing voters. I mean, it's kind of creepy, but not unheard of in politics.
But, as Oliver also notes, Schumer has made up such intricate and detailed back stories for this fictional married couple, we do have to wonder if Schumer really knows they aren't real or whether he just says that because his chief of staff told him that he had to.

Jennings brings up a good question. It makes me wonder if the real reason Democrats don't want to have mental institutions is that they know half of them would immediately be involuntarily committed to one.

The answer is because they are not comedians; they are paid political operatives who (on rare occasions) can be funny.
And the operatives have received their instructions.

This is the ONLY reason that Oliver had permission to skewer Schumer as thoroughly as he did. The Big Booty Latina told him to.
AOC has equally embarrassing lies that she tells, like that she's a 'Bronx Girl,' and how she turns her accent on and off like a light switch.
But Oliver, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel never do segments on her.
The leftists are coming for Schumer, predictably, because he is not far-left enough, and an usurper is waiting in the wings. (The fact that he is Jewish isn't doing him any favors with the leftists either.)
The popular move in today's Democrat Party is to learn nothing and push even further towards socialism.
And for that reason, Schumer must go. And poor 'Joe and Eileen Bailey' must go with him, whether they are real or not.
Hopefully, the three of them can hook up with Joe Biden and Corn Pop, and they can all hang out by the pool together.
All I know is that if the gloves are truly off with Schumer, I'm going to need to make a lot more popcorn to enjoy while the left eats their own.
