Abdul El-Sayed is spending the final weeks of his Senate campaign trying to pretend he never said the things we all heard him say and that he's not taken all the radical positions we've all seen him take.
That includes El-Sayed's claim that his "Medicare for All" plan includes the ability to keep private options open. After all, anybody who's ever had parents on Medicare (or is currently on it themselves) knows that you need supplemental private insurance to fill in the many gaps. Leftists would of course like everybody to believe that "Medicare for All" would be some sort of utopian solution and frankly only a dupe would believe that.
But El-Sayed's claiming this lunacy that would end up as a disaster wouldn't ban private insurance.
Medicare should be automatic, for everyone, and accepted everywhere. Medicare for All does not have to ban additional private insurance through unions or employers, although Medicare for All should make those choices redundant and unnecessary.
It doesn't "have to ban additional private insurance" that you'd inevitably need because "Medicare for All" would be a disaster, though it would in fact be the end of private options.
El-Sayed knows that too. This is another issue he's forced to lie about. Check this out, via @KyleMartinsen_:
🚨 TOTAL LIE Abdul El-Sayed: "If families want to keep their private health insurance, that’s fine by me." Here is years of Abdul vowing to eliminate private health insurance plans: https://t.co/8rIP1e7WDO

"If you like your plan, you can keep it."
Why does that sound so familiar?
@KyleMartinsen_ @PattyLovesTruth Sounds like Obamacare. The medical plan for the poor and the working middle class gets screwed.

On top of this, Obama's coming to Michigan later this month to campaign for El-Sayed so they can both lie to everybody from the same stage (even though El-Sayed doesn't like him all that much).
"Medicare for All" -- for those who want the DMV to be their insurer and doctor, except far worse and way more expensive.
Have a good weekend, all!
