President Biden’s State of the Union Tuesday night was as notable for what wasn’t said as much as what was included in the speech.
It isn’t difficult to tell which issues have been polling horrendously for the Democrats based on all the backpedaling and one-eighties that have been taking place. One such issue is “defund the police,” which Biden’s speechwriters were running away from as fast as they possibly could:
President Biden at #SOTU: "We should all agree, the answer is not to defund the police. It's to fund the police."
"Fund them with resources and training, resources and training they need they need to protect their communities." pic.twitter.com/2y6X5hdnuM

Many Democrats will say “nobody ever said to literally ‘defund the police,'” but Rep. Cori Bush’s rebuttal to parts of Biden’s speech again proves those claims incorrect:
With all due respect, Mr. President. You didn’t mention saving Black lives once in this speech.
All our country has done is given more funding to police. The result? 2021 set a record for fatal police shootings.
Defund the police. Invest in our communities. https://t.co/t0n0EpHMwd

There it is! With the November midterms coming up in a few months, hopefully Rep. Bush keeps saying that loud and proud. #PassThePopcorn
Yes it did set a record, just not the one you wanna talk about. Police are being ambushed because of your rhetoric. Police are not the problem and you not addressing the real problem won't ever be productive to Black lives.

The leftoids make it clear to Joey that they really do mean "defund" when they say it.
