CNN held a “town hall” style meeting last night featuring Dana Loesch and many on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to the gun control debate. Loesch schooled the Broward County Sheriff and others about missed red flags as well as laws on the books, but CNN allowed the debate to get out of control at times (and got caught scripting questions).
Greg Gutfeld analyzed the town hall meeting and gave failing grades to CNN:
in an audience-driven event, Speakers react to the possibility of applause. that changes debate.

we know the problem with the gun debate: mistrust between two vocal oppositions. A heckling show trial doesn't ameliorate this. it actually makes it worse.

Which was perhaps CNN’s goal?
Gutfeld continued:
did the sheriff just admit that he received tips on this killer? (he said "tips)
– and the audience is booing the NRA?— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) February 22, 2018
if booing/heckling is a helpful addition to "dialogue," please let us know when to break out the tomatoes.

that was Springer territory. the heckling. the Sheriff feeding audience applause like an afternoon talk show. compare this to today's WH event. this divides, not unites. Shame. Good night.
