We know that the Biden administration did nothing about the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. Similarly, the administration didn't do anything for the people who lost their homes in Western North Carolina — the Amish were on the ground building houses while the government was still setting up tents in the middle of winter. We also know, even though it sounds unbelievable, that a woman was fired from FEMA for directing the agency to skip over houses that had Trump signs in the yard. “No FEMA for you,” a Democrat laughed on video at potential red-state tornado victims.
Former press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told the press it was "categorically false" that the Biden administration was redirecting FEMA money to house illegal immigrants. Elon Musk begged to differ; DOGE discovered that FEMA had spent $59 million in THE PREVIOUS WEEK to put up illegal immigrants in luxury hotels in New York City.
Now, the Washington Post is claiming that President Trump is withholding aid for California wildfire victims until the state divorces itself from its liberal agenda.
President Trump has so far withheld federal relief funds, with many arguing that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Democrats in the deep-blue state have mishandled the fires and should be forced to rescind liberal policies in exchange for aid. https://t.co/L5htoOHlLJ

"… with many arguing that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Democrats in the deep-blue state have mishandled the fires." No kidding. The Pacific Palisades should have been rebuilt by now, but the city is still slow-walking permits for people to clear the debris from their land. Just yesterday, Newsom said the state was allocating $101 million "to help rapidly rebuild affordable, multifamily rental housing for Angelenos displaced by the January wildfires." How about helping them rebuild their own homes?
DHS took offense at the Post's story:
If these “journalists” had even bothered to verify their story with either FEMA or DHS they would have realized it’s a shameful lie.

President Trump SPED UP recovery in California by cutting regulations and clearing $2 billion worth of debris from 9,000 homes months ahead of… pic.twitter.com/l1KiKYlvjv
The post continues:
… the 12-18 month projected timeline.
FEMA has delivered $132 million in aid, deployed 500 staff, and sheltered 2,800 households. @SBAgov approved $3 billion in low-interest loans for 11,633 homes and businesses, with no payments or interest for a year. Under the leadership of Secretary Noem, FEMA and DHS are prioritizing people over politics, something the Washington Post could learn from.
Didn't they run a story just yesterday that Texas wasn't getting relief?
— Nova Empirica (@TabulaStellar) July 10, 2025
Probably.
Wait, isn't Trump canceling FEMA?
— Silence Dogood (@sciencebamf) July 10, 2025
Seems like FEMA and DHS are actually delivering results, but I guess facts don’t make headlines as well as drama does. Who knew cutting red tape could get things done? 💻

Yet Gavin Newson wants to run the country. Right.
— Elizabeth (@elizabethaphawc) July 10, 2025
Meanwhile, Gavin Newsome is in SC campaigning. But yet, it's Trump fault.

The appearance in the difference of support is caused by rapid state and local resources deployed in Texas, versus whatever California did. Or more precisely, what California didn't do.

Why did Arkansas have to wait MONTHS for federal aid after a tornado outbreak in the state?
— Chris Williams (@chriswilliams2) July 10, 2025
They’re not journalists. They’re progressive advocates. Blindly indoctrinated and brainwashed. Serving their comrades.
— MonsieurPaul (@Msrpaul1) July 10, 2025
We thought the narrative was that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem had waited 72 hours to call in FEMA, and that was the big scandal. But now the Post is saying that the GOP raced to help flood victims in Texas. Which is it?
