Watching Kamala Harris' shifting views on the Jussie Smollett case is weirdly hypnotic

As you certainly know by now, all 16 charges against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett were dropped by Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, who considers Smollett’s bond plus 16 hours of community service for Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH organization a just resolution to the case.

One face which has been popping up a lot today in connection with Smollett is senator and 2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris, such as the photo that surfaced of Foxx with Harris calling her her mentor.

Harris talked about the Smollett case on CNN Tuesday afternoon, but first, let’s look back at Harris’ reactions to the case. If you’ll remember, she quickly called the alleged hate crime an attempted “modern-day lynching.”

Asked about the alleged attack a couple of weeks later, she said, “I think the facts are still unfolding. I’m very concerned about it obviously.” She also  ignored questions about Jussie Smollett’s arrest after she dined with the Rev. Al “Tawana Told The Truth” Sharpton.

By the third week of February, Harris seemed to have given up the modern-day lynching claim:

What did the presidential candidate have to say Tuesday after charges were dropped?

Funny how she evolved like that.

At least Harris redeemed herself Tuesday with that “Present” vote on the Green New Deal she co-sponsored. Presidential material?
