President Donald Trump has the best enemies, because the only thing that outstrips their incompetence is their insanity. And the Democratic Party has both plenty of incompetence and insanity to go around.
The last day and a half has seen the Democrats and their propagandists in the media shed the last vestiges of their credibility, integrity, and dignity along with any pretense that their entire motivating factor is anything other than trying to damage President Trump.
Where to we begin to dig into just how terrible this week has been for the Democratic Party?
I suppose we can start with their sudden rabid anti-immigration stance. If you have whiplash from this about-face, don't feel bad: so do I.
Because a week ago, the Left was insistent that America not only had to welcome all comers to our shores, we had to do so without vetting them, and while spending $150 billion per year to feed, house, clothe, educate, and provide healthcare for them. Anyone who objected to the unfettered open-borders policies of the Biden-Harris administration was a racist who wanted to deny poor people from terrible countries the opportunity to achieve the American dream.

Right up until President Trump welcomed 59 South African migrants to the U.S., migrants who followed the proper process, were vetted by the administration, and, unlike the droves of young, military-aged men pouring over the border, came with women and children.

They landed on our shores waving American flags. Oh, and they happen to be White. Which, in South Africa, is enough to warrant the seizure of your farmland, racial harassment, and even your murder. This was just too much for the Democratic Party and the media.
Senator Chris Van Hollen, disappointed that margaritas aren't the national drink of South Africa, called the move 'Trump's sick global apartheid' and the Episcopal Church ended its refugee resettlement program with the government in protest, issuing the following statement:
'In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step ... Accordingly, we have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.'
How Christ-like.
CNN panelist Ashley Allison said the not-so-quiet part out loud: the Left's opposition to these migrants has everything to do with their race. And that's it. NBC News asked the South African government if they were persecuting White South Africans and they denied it, which was proof enough for NBC, apparently, and sister station MSNBC went full-blown defamation, calling the migrants 'descendants of white supremacists.'

So we can put to bed now any pretense that the Left's immigration push was anything but an attempt to destroy America by importing criminals and welfare-dependent folks, giving them citizenship, and cementing a permanent Democratic majority.
All their bloviating about the American dream, asylum, and economic opportunity was a lie. Because the moment legal immigrants came into this country from a place where they were actually persecuted for the color of their skin, the Left decided those immigrants were just too much.
But I'd be remiss to stop there. As bad as the Left's attacks on migrant families are, things get even worse.
Today, we got our first glimpse into Original Sin, the book by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson that chronicles the cognitive and physical decline of Joe Biden during his presidency.
As bad as you thought things were, the reality is that you were underestimating things. It was MUCH WORSE than we imagined. This includes the fact that the Biden team considered putting the president in a wheelchair, thanks to his physical deterioration. But they didn't. Because the optics of putting an octogenarian in a wheelchair might've lost them the election, you see. So they held off.
As a nurse and someone with a heart not made of stone, I have to ask how this isn't elder abuse? Don't get me wrong: I have no love for Joe Biden. But he deserves the care and dignity a man of his age and infirmity needs. The Biden team, including Jill Biden, knew the risks of Biden falling again. He could've fractured a hip, or his femur, or cracked vertebrae in his spine. All of which would be a) painful, b) probably require surgery, and c) could possibly be fatal for someone of Biden's age.
And they didn't care. Not one person loved or respected Joe Biden enough to consider his health and safety before their own political ambitions.
This includes the media.
But rather than take a good, long look in the mirror and contemplate their role in all of this, they've decided who's to blame: Joe Biden.

You know, the guy with dementia who was so far gone he could no longer run for president (but apparently could still serve out his last six months as president).
David Plouffe blamed Joe Biden for Kamala Harris' defeat in November:
David Plouffe, who was a key adviser for the Harris campaign, blamed the then-veep’s election loss squarely on the ex-commander in chief, according to a new book CNN’s Jake Tapper co-authored.
Plouffe — a senior adviser in Obama’s White House — was quoted ripping Harris’ 107-day campaign against Donald Trump as a '******* nightmare,' according to an excerpt obtained by The Guardian.
'And it’s all Biden,' he told the authors. 'He totally ****** us.'
So, we're not only supposed to believe that the Democrats and media (but I repeat myself) had no clue how bad Joe Biden's health was until June of last year, but that we're supposed to believe the guy who could barely walk or form sentences was so stubborn he was the reason Kamala Harris lost?
There were few, if any, calls for Joe Biden to drop out of the race prior to June. Several Democrats, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, threw their full support behind Biden. Right up until they could no longer mask how bad Biden actually was. Then they not only shuffled Joe Biden out of the way, they installed a candidate who received nary a primary vote, one who was so unpopular even with her party's base she dropped out of the 2020 race before Iowa.
Defenders of democracy, indeed.
Gone from the news cycle is the story about President Trump and the Qatari-gifted plane (it was largely another media lie, anyway), and all eyes are -- once again -- squarely on the three-ring circus that is the Democratic Party, reminding voters why they rejected Kamala Harris last year and why the party has a whopping 21% approval rating.
And it's only Tuesday.
Imagine what the rest of the week will bring.
