I was never going to be an athlete, for a variety of reasons. There is a tremendous amount of time, money, and effort that goes into training to be an Olympic-level athlete, and you have to start at a pretty early age. Even girls who want to be athletes in high school and college have to put in a lot of time and discipline training in their sport.
Today, thanks to the Biden-Harris administration, none of that matters.
Girls sports are dead, and the Democratic Party killed them.
Perhaps it's cosmic timing that on the day the Biden-Harris Title IX rewrite goes into effect in 24 states (26 have challenged the rule changes in court), the entire world gets to watch the inevitable outcome of these policies play out at the Olympics. Italian boxer Angela Carini, a woman, was forced to face off against Algeria's Imane Khelif, a man.
The fight lasted 46 seconds before Carini tapped out of the match. She had to stop because -- in her words -- one punch hurt too much to continue. I understand this; Carini didn't want to risk suffering the same fate as 17-year-old Payton McNabb, who was left paralyzed and brain damaged after a boy spiked a volleyball into her face (and laughed about it). Carini broke down in tears, and understandably so. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

And it was stolen from her by a man.
With an assist from the Left.
Two tests showed Khelif has XY chromosomes. The IOC, on the other hand, was fine with using his passport -- which reads female -- as 'proof' that Khelif is a woman.
Thanks to the Biden-Harris administration, this is now the same fate that awaits female athletes in half the states. But it gets even worse, if you thought that was possible:
This rewrite will also consider not using pronouns as harassment. https://t.co/zPi1pAuksj

So it not only violates the rights of women and girls to have locker rooms free from men, to have single-sex sports that protect their health and safety from catastrophic injury, and to have their own scholarship opportunities and sporting events, it takes away their right to speak about these issues.
Imane Khelif is a man. Not a 'trans woman.' A man. Because Wisconsin is one of the states in which the Title IX rewrite is now the law of the land, have I just committed harassment?
But wait! There's more, here's another excellent question:
Why was the Thompson guy not allowed to swim which is a no contact sport, but these men are allowed to get in the ring with a woman?

Lia Thomas -- also a man -- was prohibited from competing at the Olympics because he's a man. It makes zero sense that Khelfi, who is a man, is allowed to compete and punch women in the face but Thomas cannot get in the water with female swimmers.
Has gender become so fluid it changes based on the Olympic event? Is it like the movie 'Splash', where jumping in the water turns magically turns Thomas into a man?
Why are the rules not equally enforced or applied in the Olympics?
If Khelif was an man who hit his wife or girlfriend, the Left would demonize him as an abusive monster. We'd get screeds about 'Me too' and protecting women. But because he 'identifies' as a woman, he -- a man -- can beat a woman on the international stage and be applauded for it, possibly even get a medal.
The other day, Kamala Harris took to X to lament how women in Iowa lost their 'rights' because of the state's abortion ban going into effect. As of the time I'm writing this, neither the Kamala Harris nor the VP accounts on X have said anything about what happened to Carini at the Olympics.
All while they get on X, or a campaign stage, or an interview and say -- with a straight face -- that only they care about women and girls. That the mean, old MAGA Republicans are going to turn America into 'The Handmaid's Tale.'
Why?
Because they support what happened at the Olympics. They support it to the point they rewrote federal civil rights law to make it possible for men in America to do to women what Khelfi did to Carini at the Olympics. They want men changing in locker rooms with your daughters; they want boys taking medals and scholarship opportunities and from girls; they want to sacrifice your daughter's health and safety so a man can feel good about how he 'identifies.'
They want a world where women and girls are second class citizens to men, and the Title IX rewrite paves the way for that.
