With Amy Coney Barrett’s name being tossed around as a possible SCOTUS nominee, progressives’ feverish race to smear her is officially underway. We’ve seen them attack her for being pro-life and Catholic. At least she actually is those things.
What she is not — at least not as far as anyone can tell — is racist. But that didn’t stop the Center for American Progress’ legal project from trying to slime her as such:
As a judge, Barrett sided against an African American worker in favor of a company’s “separate-but-equal arrangement,” flying in the face of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Now, she’s up for a seat on our nation’s highest court. #SaveSCOTUS #StopBarrett pic.twitter.com/JOoQrjP8FC

Yeah … here’s the thing:
Nope. That didn’t happen.
— Mark Mansfield (@manzy114) July 3, 2018
This didn’t happen. Barrett wasn’t even on this panel. https://t.co/mfuVw7sEIy

But it has a Tina Fey gif so it must be true.

Why Courts Matter is a program from the Center for American Progress. No one expects complete honesty, but this is beyond the pale.

That doesn’t surprise me. CAP also employs Neera Tanden, Ian Millhiser, Igor Volsky, and Judd Legum. There’s been a mental break over there of late. It’s becoming more and more obvious.

Millhiser's insistence that Trump v. Hawaii is akin to Korematsu while maintaining and FDR cover photo on his Twitter page says it all.

It really does.

Just in case you're not sure by the comments, I'll say it also, LIE

How can we expect CAP to explain why courts matter when they don’t even understand that the truth matters?
@neeratanden Hi, Neera. A few weeks ago, we ran an interview with you on one our NR podcasts, and you said repeatedly that truth was important. When will you be issuing a correction to this? Barrett wasn’t on this panel, and the case was not as described. https://t.co/0J8GM5emdL

Narrator: They did not issue a correction ASAP.
Bogus,try again.

Oh, we have no doubt they will try again. And we have no doubt that again, they’ll fail miserably.
