I watched Marjorie Taylor Greene sit on that midterms panel and announce that Republicans have a serious women problem and need a woman right now, and the self-awareness was nowhere to be found.
The absolute nerve.
This is the same person who rode Trump’s coattails into Congress, spent years as one of his loudest defenders, and then the second the winds shifted and she couldn’t get her way on every pet issue, she turned on him, quit the House, and started shopping herself to anyone who would give her airtime.
Code Pink loved her.
CNN booked her.
Heck, even The View had her on.
Now she’s the sudden expert on why the GOP is toxic to women and how only a woman — read: her — can save it after the midterms.
“I think the Republicans need a woman now.” Ah yes. “Sir, your house is on fire, so let’s set your car on fore too. That’ll help fix it.” https://t.co/Gi7TuQNRjP

Give me a break.
She didn’t have this sudden feminist awakening when she was chasing Trump’s endorsement and calling everyone else weak or RINO. She didn’t care about women’s voices being marginalized when she was torching her own colleagues for not being loyal enough. The second relevance started slipping, she discovered the party has a problem with women and positioned herself as the adult in the room who can fix it.
That’s not principle.
That’s a grift with better lighting.
The two-faced part is almost impressive in its consistency. She spent years attacking anyone who criticized Trump, then became the critic herself the moment it suited her brand. She hammered other Republicans for insufficient loyalty, then walked away when loyalty no longer paid. And now, after Democrats just cleaned the GOP’s clock, she wants credit for diagnosing the problem she spent years ignoring while she was busy cashing in on the MAGA brand.
The back-stabbing is the real tell. Plenty of people disagree with Trump or party leadership. Most of them don’t spend the next year auditioning for the people who used to call them crazy. Greene didn’t just leave. She torched the bridge, then tried to sell tickets to the fire.
Republicans don’t need another woman who treats the party like a personal brand to be abandoned the second the bookings dry up. They need people who actually believe in something longer than the current news cycle. MTG has never been that person. She was always the opportunist in the room, and this latest reinvention just makes it impossible to pretend otherwise.
