Jon Stewart is back on his podcast doing what he does best: treating the Constitution like a suggestion and the Supreme Court like the villain in his personal political sitcom.
Well, that and looking like the crazy old man on the corner yelling at kids to get off his lawn.
In a recent Weekly Show rant, the former Daily Show host unloaded on the justices over campaign finance rulings, Citizens United, and the idea that spending money to speak is actually... speech. He wants a constitutional amendment to "save democracy" from all that pesky First Amendment stuff, because apparently the amendment process that already exists in Article V just isn't the one he has in mind.
Classic Stewart: the guy who spent years lecturing America on how institutions work now acts shocked that those same institutions don't bend to late-night monologues.

Keep in mind, they know they can amend the Constitution. They also know they don't have the support to do it. So, they need stupid people to get mad and do stupid things.
The Trump administration has slowly but surely been destroying all of their go-tos and supports.
