Judge Blocks Trump Administration's Plan to Move FBI Out of Hoover Building

Can you imagine the progress the Trump administration could make without the endless lawfare from federal judges? Now a judge is blocking the Trump administration's plan to move the FBI from the J. Edgar Hoover Building into the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.

Fox News reports:

A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration’s plan to move FBI headquarters into Washington, D.C.’s Ronald Reagan Building, preserving the previously selected Greenbelt, Maryland, site for the bureau’s long-planned new headquarters.
U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang ruled Monday that the FBI and General Services Administration’s (GSA) decisions to select the Reagan Building were "not in accordance with law" and exceeded their statutory authority. The court also found the FBI’s decision to redirect previously appropriated funds toward the move was arbitrary and capricious.
The FBI blasted the decision in a statement to Fox News.
"This is not the first time courts have tried to undermine the administration in its goal to make government more cost-effective for American taxpayers. The court has chosen to impermissibly intervene for political reasons. This FBI is mission focused and will continue the best course of action to meet the needs of law enforcement. Sycophants seeking to undermine the work of this FBI, which has led the largest reduction in crime in American history under President Trump, will not deter us."

The decision effectively reinstates the Biden administration's plan to move the FBI to a newly constructed facility in Maryland.

AND it's after a trial on the merits.

The Plaintiff is Montgomery County MD. They were promised the new FBI Building would be in Maryland.

But Fed Govt changed its mind.

Why not? There have been zero consequences for the other judges making baseless decisions only to stop or stall Trump.
Since they're not held to account, I can only pray the right leaning judges take note and do this under the next Dem president.

This isn’t about buildings. It’s about volume. Why do judges all the sudden not seem to care about being overturned? The goal is to keep as much of Trumps DOJ as possible on defense so they’re not on offense.

Again, imagine the progress the administration could make if it weren't for these activist judges continually gumming up the works. They've blocked construction of the White House ballroom. Last November, the Trump administration agreed not to repaint or power-wash the Eisenhower Executive Office Building through the end of the year, allowing a judge more time to consider a lawsuit opposing the repainting plan.
