Jim Geraghty (who, if we’re being honest, is one of the brightest yet most humble peeps in conservative media) wrote a fairly kick-a*s piece for the National Review that is ultimately a comprehensive timeline on Hunter Biden. So of course, the Left is having a giant ol’ hissy-fit about it …
Which tells you right away that it really is rad and probably pretty damning.
Take a gander:
Judging from Twitter, the general defense to all the Hunter Biden stuff – long timeline here https://t.co/gXISF6dvK2 – is “well, Jared and Ivanka are worse, so there!”, do I have that right?
— Jim Geraghty (@jimgeraghty) September 30, 2019
Their defense of Hunter is that Jared is WORSE! LOL
Hilarious.
From the National Review:
Late Summer 2006: Hunter Biden and his uncle, James Biden, purchase the hedge fund Paradigm Global Advisors. According to an unnamed executive quoted in Politico in August, James Biden declared to employees on his first day, “Don’t worry about investors. We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.” At this time, Joe Biden is months away from becoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launching his second bid for president.
Then Jim goes into a true timeline of the events that followed and it’s far more damning than anything we’ve seen come out on Trump and Ukraine.
Read the whole thing … trust us.
So your argument is not “family members should not cash in on a powerful politicians' connections and power,” it’s that the _wrong_ family members are cashing in on the _wrong_ powerful politician’s connections and power, is that it?

Y’all want to go with the rallying cry of “replace this socially-unacceptable cronyism and corruption with the previous socially-acceptable cronyism and corruption in 2020!”, huh? pic.twitter.com/7hYM3nwsbT
— Jim Geraghty (@jimgeraghty) September 30, 2019
Did we mention the Left totally shiznit the bed over this piece?
No, the general defense is that the Ukrainians have said that there is no evidence that Biden did anything wrong. (And why are R’s indignant about children of VP cashing in when they are fine w/Trump’s kids doing that?)

Dude, you just proved his point.
We are talking about Hunter Biden only because Trump supporters are desperately trying to change the subject from the president's impeachable conduct. Seems reasonable enough to respond to them by changing the subject again.
— graedus (@graedus29) September 30, 2019
OR, we’re talking about Hunter because his daddy wants to be president …
It’s fascinating how quickly they’re willing to give someone a break when they have the same political letter by their name.
That, or just "Orange Man Bad REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
— You Wish (@MyAlteredEgo) September 30, 2019
There it is!
Investigate Hunter or Ivanka or Grover Cleveland's bastard child or whomever. And investigate Trump for potentially impeachable offenses.

All they had to do was NOT be crazy.
The argument is not whether the Biden's should have been more cautious of his son's business (they shld have). It's whether the GOP talking points of illegality are true. By all accounts every single government in the western world thought the prosecutor was NOT doing his job.

LEAVE HUNTER ALONE!
Ridiculous.
But funny.
