As Twitchy reported, Ted Lieu would love to regulate the content of speech. He admitted it on CNN on VIDEO.
Talk about an egocentric, uninformed ball of hot air … and people voted for him.
California, you have GOT to get your sh*t together. Seriously.
Mark Dice called Ted out:
End Freedom of Speech, Says Democrat Congressman Ted Lieu

— Mark Dice (@MarkDice) December 13, 2018
Ted apparently didn’t appreciate Mark’s tweet:
I served on active duty in the United States military to defend your right to say stupid shit and to blatantly mischaracterize my position.
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) December 14, 2018
Awww, well thank you for serving, Ted, but Mark isn’t wrong, you did openly admit you wish you could regulate the content of speech.
You said you want to regulate speech (from your political opponents? Facts that hurt little snowflakes feelings? Jokes?), but to your disappointment, the first amendment is stopping you, so you're actively calling for Big Tech to do it on your behalf.
— Mark Dice (@MarkDice) December 14, 2018
Mark was merciless:
You're now sadly working to undermine the very country you once fought to defend. And pressuring Silicon Valley's tech titans to do your dirty work.
— Mark Dice (@MarkDice) December 14, 2018
*popcorn*
I served on active duty in the United States military to defend your right to make stuff up. I have always been, and always will be, an ardent defender of the First Amendment.
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) December 14, 2018

Yes, Ted, you said that. And thank you (again) for your service … but leave the First Amendment alone, please.
Unlike you, I believe government cannot regulate the content of speech of either private citizens or tech companies.
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) December 14, 2018
Huh? Wait … what?
This suddenly got super confusing. Ted admitted he wishes he could regulate the content of speech but now he’s saying Mark believes the government should regulate it. Maybe Ted should avoid debating at night? Just sayin’.
Liar. If Facebook or Twitter banned pro-LGBT accounts, you'd scream discrimination and the gov would sue them. When they ban conservatives for hurting peoples' little feelings for 'offensive' jokes or facts, you congratulate them, in fact, you're calling for MORE censorship.
— Mark Dice (@MarkDice) December 14, 2018
Of course Ted is calling for more censorship, he’s a Democrat. That’s like Democrat Principles 101.
Others had advice for Ted:
Thank you for your service.
Remember your oath to uphold the Constitution. pic.twitter.com/5yELrjoVr5— SinEater – karmic facilitator – 'We Can Save You' (@_Sin_Eater_) December 14, 2018
Bingo.
so theres two ted lieus? one who defends free speech and one who wants to regulate it?
— trill cosby (@jay__all__day) December 14, 2018
Nah, he just talks out both sides of his mouth.
But you said there is speech you would regulate if it was permitted. What speech would you regulate if given the chance?
— Michael Crews (@midacre) December 14, 2018
Ted isn’t getting around this, maybe he should just claim he misspoke OR admit he really does want to limit free speech.
At least then he wouldn’t be a liar on top of the rest of this mess.
