Matt Yglesias wants Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to run for president.
Don’t make that face, it’s not our bright idea, it’s his.
In fact, many writers at Vox were pushing the idea that the age limit of being at least 35 for president should be done away with because it’s racist or sexist or something.
You made that face again.
We can hardly blame you though considering these are the same people who keep telling us adults are too helpless and useless to pay for their own health insurance until they’re 26 so … yeah.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should run for president and dare the Supreme Court to stop her, argues @mattyglesias. https://t.co/sis9kkuzGH

From Vox:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the biggest star in the Democratic Party, and she has been ever since she unseated Rep. Joe Crowley in a surprise primary upset in May. That her win didn’t, in the final analysis, launch a wave of leftist primary victories only goes to show what a phenomenon she personally is.
Not everyone shares her brand of politics, of course, but her constituency has exploded beyond the initial set of ideologues who powered the challenge to Crowley because of her incredible wit, charisma, social media savvy, and basic political smarts.
Gosh, it almost sounds like ol’ Matty is a fanboy.
As you can imagine, the pushback on Twitter was IMPRESSIVE, and even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez herself had something to say about Matt’s idea:
How about… no.
Sometimes political media is too fixated on personalities instead of policies.
The whole country JUST went through an exhausting midterm election. We need a break.
Can we instead talk about healthcare, a living wage, legalizing cannabis, GND, & other issues? https://t.co/JoiNmsgNTH

DENIED!
Ok, for once we agree with Alexandria on something. Would someone please check Hell and make sure it hasn’t frozen over? Thanks.
Huh….. I actually agree with you on something. Is this real??

Dude, right?
Credit where it’s due, and we bust on Alexandria a lot (she gives us plenty of opportunities), we applaud her for this tweet in part because it makes Vox look silly but also because it shows that even she knows she has a lot to learn just yet.
Kudos.
On this, we of all political persuasions agree!!! ??

For once, I agree with you. ??????

I….. Actually agree with you. The end is nigh.

While we’re resting up, how about you take some time to educate yourself on the government, how it works, your particular responsibilities, and, most importantly, the history and horrors of Socialism. How’d that be?

Would be a win-win.
