Did you know that scrubbing toilets with your mom will keep you from flattening the world into a 2-D left-right lens?
Don’t make that face, we didn’t make it up.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did:
I think the biggest mistake that political folks make (press, campaigns, “strategists,” etc) is flattening the world into a 2-D, left-right lens.
More voters are Ind than Dem or GOP.
I grew up scrubbing toilets with my mom.
We don’t run from the “left.”
We run from the bottom. https://t.co/kowXGDOLJv— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) August 6, 2018
Ok, so she’s clearly trying to pretend she’s in touch with people in the midwest with the whole scrubbing toilets thing but eh … this almost sounds like she thinks people in the midwest scrub toilets all of the time.
Like more so than people in other parts of the country and well, no.
What an odd way to try and connect to the average Midwesterner. This almost reminds us of the tweet where she talked about how much she loved hanging out in her neighborhood bodega which read like a bad episode of ‘Chico and the Man’.
But as usual, socialist-hungry lemmings are all over her thread:
That's a genius insight.
People who manipulate words in bad faith are prone to a kind of reduction in thought because the words constrain their ideas.
People who use words to actually communicate recognize that real life is more complex than the crude axis by which we parse it.— Bizarro Trump (@rrrrrrrealTrump) August 6, 2018
Genius insight.
Sure, because socialism is a lot like a toilet.

You know what’s a nastier label? Socialist.
Then why does the 'far Left' attack the Dems and the middle Left way more than Trump and his Nazi Bros?
We all would have been better off if we put Hillary in the WH and held her feet to the fire. Now Trump get's to pick a 2nd SCJ, screwing the Liberal agenda for next 30 years.— J. D. Anderson (@AndersonJamesD) August 6, 2018
Nazi Bros? For real?
*sigh*
Ballsy move to reference both toilet scrubbing and things running from bottoms in the same tweet. Respect.

OMG. You know those tweets that you know you shouldn’t laugh at but you do anyway?
Imagine that on steroids when you put it in a Twitchy article.

And that’s the truth.
