So Democrats have been working really really really hard to make abortion a top issue going into the midterms this November. Not because they care about the issue (if they really did, they had 50 years to codify Roe), but because they know it’s all they’ve got. Well, that and Trump. If they have to run on their policies or accomplishments they have to run on inflation, recession and making plumbers and waitresses pay for the student loan debt of doctors, lawyers, and people who went to school for gender studies or underwater basketweaving.
I’ve gotta be honest, I’m not shocked to see CNN pushing this nonsense claiming conservatives magically want Republicans to focus more on cultural issues than the things we KNOW will absolutely cost Biden and the Democrats in less than eight weeks.
Some conservatives, by the way, are two people in the article, one who thinks Republicans should talk more about abortion and another who wants them to focus on education. Now, the gal who talks about education is onto something because she says Republicans should look at what DeSantis is doing …
It would have been more honest for CNN to say, ‘Some conservatives want more Republicans to follow DeSantis’ lead.’
But that wouldn’t help Democrats now would it?
