We’d ask who these people are but we’re pretty sure we don’t want to know.
And yadda yadda yadda, we typically do not cover tweets from randos because they could be anybody HOWEVER, if the tweet in question is just that awful, stupid, or awesome, we’ll write about it. Guess which category this crap tweet falls in?
When @NYCMayor sends children to school on Monday — he will be sending them to their deaths. #SickOut2SaveLives https://t.co/qpqj7iGldh
— 🎈 #GeneralStrike with whatsername (@grimwomyn) January 2, 2022
So she’s calling for a sick out to protect the teachers. Wouldn’t it be amazing if people like this stopped making children pay the price to protect scared adults? Or adults who aren’t exactly digging the idea of going back to work after their sweet Christmas break.
Don’t make that face. Sure, there are plenty of amazing teachers who have not only worked but gone above and beyond but until they shut down these unions and union teachers they will, unfortunately, be lumped into the masses. It’s just the reality of the state of this country right now.
As you can imagine, this tweet did not go over well:
The mayor isn’t sending anyone to school. Parents are. And they know what’s best for their kids. And they know when they’re being manipulated. pic.twitter.com/ucW5gfzPNq
— Bethany S. Mandel (@bethanyshondark) January 2, 2022
What Bethany said.
All damn day.
The issue with all of these ‘measures’ is people seem to have forgotten who should be making decisions about their children’s health, and it’s not any mayor or governor or even a president. It’s the PARENTS.
And yes, these experts have been lying from the get-go to scare and manipulate people. Clearly.
No profession has done so much to damage their stature or reputation than teachers. It’s embarrassing.

So you're hiding replies you don't like? Good job. We're onto you. Sickouts are illegal strikes. You may want to call someone for mental health support if you're so scared of a mild sore throat and intermittent headache. Don't you trust your triple shots?

Seems a lot of these types of resistance accounts aren’t very good at resisting.
Ahem.
OMG. We are 2 years into this crap now. Just stop. We all know you're full of crap and don't want to work.
— Janice (@jannyfayray) January 2, 2022
Sounds like the unions overplayed their hand.
Lemme guess…drama major?
— Terry Hoitz (@ZIRP4eva) January 2, 2022
Yes, traveling the streets of New York is dangerous, but the kids will be safe once in the building

Where’s the death statistic?
I think this graph doesn’t say what you think it says. Certainly not what you SAY it says.
— Señor Apropiador Cultural (@ScottyMacEsq) January 2, 2022
You just need two weeks to stop it this time right?
— The_Metrologist (@the_metrologist) January 2, 2022
Why? Is swine flu back?
— Meghan Athey (@Keggs719) January 2, 2022
Ouch.
Did it ever really leave?
Are you actually seriously saying you believe this?
— ZKU (@zkrinsky) January 2, 2022
Stop trying to panic parents with baseless statements.
